Villain is 50/4.17/.42 over 24 hands.

I've been missing flops like crazy and c folding or bet folding to reraises so I imagine my image is pretty weak tight.

$2 on turn, fold to raise and check back river. He calls with a ton of hands on turn you're ahead of.
As played I fold, I'll take his money at better spots.

What hand ranges do you put him on? Overbet by weak players seems to be a sign of a made hand in my experience and it looks like a flush as played. The villian seems to be a loose passive player and these players are not prone to making big bluffs on river.

Again turn bet is dependant on your read of his hands, a bet would define his hand ranges a little more. How would you have played this if you had TPTK on the flop?

Dont check turn.
Bet something 1/2 to 3/4 of pot, if he raises you are done.
As played fold( an AF of .4 with a PSB is a def fold!).

definitely fire the turn. you are missing a ton of value. think of all the hands a 50/4 drooler is going to call you with in that spot.

river is a tough spot. i think fold is probably best.

Yeah the turn and river were definitely the worst cards in the deck. Fire the turn and check behind the river.

1st - thats exactly what was going through my head.

i might be playing it the same way with TPTK.

The reason I posted this was because villain showed me air and i was so baffled that this player would make this kind of move.

When i played the hand, I knew that I shouldve bet the turn and I cant even remember why I ended up checking there. After i checked i expected some kind of bet on the river, but a smallish one that I would probably call assuming villain might try and make a bluff on the river but i didnt expect such a large bet.

so i figured i needed to hear people tell me checking that turn is stupid but also wondered if there was something i was missing in villains line that someone else might pick up on.
