Always alot of talk on betting strong hands, but should i be playing this less aggressive. The turn play is key, my hand gets so much stronger, but i am thinking i am behind as villain is fairly competent. He is tight-reg.

Please just shove this turn. As played, you have to call the river shove.

Anyone explain the thought process in calling and and shoving turn?
I have been thinking about it and can't see much difference in terms of EV with anything beating me calling, somethings i beat he calls, and the bluff(not often turns up here) he folds

Turn is fold/shove time. You don't have enough left to just call here since you cannot fold the river getting 4.5:1 So decide your hand is stronger than his range or not and then either shove or fold. Even against a right reg I am shoving on a two flush/straight draw board as I expect to see a lot of combo draws and two pairs in his range and not just sets or made straights. Against his range as a whole I am ahead. IMHO, so I am putting it all in on the turn.

I doubt he is bluffing on the turn. He isn't as likely to have a diamond draw because you have the Ad, so I think he might do this with a set, two pair, or a piece of the board and a strong draw or even a naked ace putting you on c-bets from a steal attempt. 54 comes to mind, but he could do it with either the 5 or 4 of hearts and another low heart. He could also do this with Ax where X is a 9 5 or 4. You raised from the button, then c-bet the flop. If he c/r on the flop, you might fold a steal attempt that missed but you had c-bet. By waiting to c/r the turn he gets another c-bet out of you. I just think his range is wide enough that my hand has enough equity in the pot to see the show down. Since I am not folding, best to get it in now when the only things we are behind are sets and the wheel. (FWIW, the only sets we are behind are 555 or 444, I think a good reg 3-bets AA or 99 when the BTN's open raises so discount the sets a little, and would he really call a steal attempt with 32? Shove, fist pump and prepare to re-load.

Oh, and if he has A5 a 9 on the river kills your action, and if he has A4, a 9 or 5 kills your action. Get it in now.
