Hi guys I would appreciate your opinions on my recent hand. Villain is playing 10/4/2 over a decent sample. My question is simple: fold or call?

Thank you very much in advance...

Definitely never folding after putting half your stack in. That being said, if you have a decent sample, you should have some sort of idea of what villains stack-off range is; i.e. if he does this with a hand like AdQd.

Call. He has AQ and putting you on AK or spade draw. I think if he has AA,KK,QQ he would have 3 bet.

Never fold here after getting ~50% of your stack in. If villain flopped and overset or floated pocket 10s through your perceived c-bet and struck gold that sucks, but too bad. Too many FDs, especially ones like QdXd are doing this here.

At first look I like your bet sizing, but personally with 2 spades on flop I bet full pot (I'd probably overbet w/o a blocker) and when 2 FDs fall on the turn and I'm holding a set in a pot that (would be $4.50) villain looks interested in I overbet pot for ~$5 and make this an even easier call.

I don't think he's limping with QQ in this spot, and probably not TT or 55 either.

Snap-call + a giggle.

Learn to river quads.

Also, don't fold, although 10/4 is very setmining stats but you've invested half your stack.

Before you even posted results I knew he had 55. With a gap like that in his stats and from what I've seen, it's only small pocket pairs from this guy. I would still stack off though.

Yep, standard cooler. There *might* be something to think about if he check-raises the flop given his stats, I suppose, but you have too much committed as played to fold.

Am I alone in disliking a 5*bb preflop open here?
