villain is 15/15 over 20 hands. I think I would usually fold this, but the thing is Ive been playing 40/40 for the last 30 hands.

MP: $10.00
CO: $2.10
BTN: $12.25
Hero (SB): $10.35
BB: $10.85
UTG: $10.00

Pre Flop: ($0.15) Hero is SB with K A
1 fold, MP raises to $0.40, 2 folds, Hero raises to $1.30, 1 fold, MP raises to $10, Hero ?

pretty easy fold.

even against a range of TT+, AQs+, AKo this is a losing call

$-3.8
against TT+/AQ+ I am 49% and I only need 43% to call.

If you are really playing 40/40 and villain notices I think this becomes a mandatory shove. But I also think how much you 3b/4b pre and how you play postflop is more memorable to most villains than just how often you open.

your 42% against that range, inc. AKo

(11.4)*.42 - 8.7 = -3.9

EDIT: my bad: (20.1)*.42 - 8.7 = -.26

still a losing call even if it is marginal. Factor in that his range is unlikely to be this wide and im folding. But i guess on reflection a call isnt horrible.

I am only playing 40/40 due to simply getting hands and I have not 3bet once yet.

there is less combos of AA,KK and more of QQ,JJ,TT
there is a lot of money in the pot.
Only bad case scenario is he has AA.
I ride the variance.

I think I fold if it's the first time villain is playing back. People at NL10 suck at adjusting, and every time I think I'm getting played back at light, I'm wrong.

If he does this again I'll snap, but he has to prove to me that he is adjusting to my aggression first.

+1, take a note and be ready for the next opportunity. In my experience this is AA/KK 9 times out of ten.
