Opponent is playing 58/33 after 48 hands. I have no particular reads or history (I'm playing a few tables), other than obviously he is loose. I was happy enough with how I played this hand, but the villain told me in chat that my minraise on the flop sucked!!!

1. Don't post results. After you call the all-in, the hand is over. By telling us what happened later you ruin the advice you get by biasing people towards the particulars of this hand, rather than the general case.

2. Why are you listening to a 58/33 in chat? He obviously has no idea how to play poker, so ignore him.

3. In this case, he's right: minbetting really stinks as a play. You reveal that you've got massive strength but you also have enough money behind that villain knows he's got great implied odds. One option in this case would be to smooth-call the flop check-raise, intending to let villain aggro himself to death by getting it all-in on the turn and river. Another option would be to make a real three-bet, say to $4. That makes a turn push (or calling villain's turn push, or calling villain's 4BAI) trivially easy no matter what comes later in the hand. Considering the board, I'd rather get my money in now than later, since MANY cards can kill your action on the turn or river (a spade, an overcard to villain's pocket pair, a 3, a 5, etc).

Ignore those donks who can't shut up when they are playin poker.

Next time raise 3x with pocket aces.

PS: this donk was really lucky. Don't pay attention and play your best poker!!

Min-raising does suck, but it's funny that he's commenting on your play when he just royally sucked out on you after massively over-betting the pot.
