Villain's a VPIP: 20, PFR: 14, 3bet: 13 over 42 hands

$0.02/$0.05 No Limit Holdem
5 Players
Hand Conversion Powered by weaktight.com

Stacks:
HERO (UTG) ($6.03)
CO ($3.62)
BTN ($3.86)
SB ($13.86)
BB ($4.13)

Pre-Flop: ($0.07, 5 players) HERO is UTG J J
HERO raises to $0.15, CO calls $0.15, 1 fold, SB raises to $0.65, 1 fold, HERO calls $0.50, CO calls $0.50

Flop: 8 4 9 ($2, 3 players)
SB bets $1.22, HERO calls $1.22, CO folds

Turn: 2 ($4.44, 2 players)
SB bets $2.42, HERO goes all-in $4.16, SB calls $1.74

I'm Raising turn because i think the board is safe enough for me. To be honest my line of thought is flawed here. Only TT i beat. I tend to think they're on air where i see stats too loose like this guy had...

But what's the best way to play this hand? I don't think i can give up anywhere. But am i doing River if an overcard falls if i choose to play it to check/call everystreet. Call any shove on the river?

This.

Edit: stats are unreliable because you only have 42 hands on him

You only have 42 hands on him so I'm not paying much attention to them. I'm set mining here given you raised utg, were flatted, and a guy oop has 3 bet. So as soon as no jack hits, I'm folding.

no, but it depends on how often villian is restealing. someone who 3bets 5% on the btn/bb/ w/e will only have 3bet a few times over 900 hands. so u still dont know if there running hot or not. if vilian is spanish u can usually figure it out within a 300 hands imo. but thats the smallest sample size.

A stat is probably reliable when you have a denominator of about 40. In this case, it means 40 3bet opportunities.

I think folding pre isn't the worst thing in the world. Even though you don't have a ton of hands, you need to make some kind of read. What is his range? Even if your read turns out to be wrong, you need to play with some kind of plan.

Probably folding pre, if not I'm folding flop as villian likely isn't cbetting this flop into two people with AK
