NL 25: Should I bet the river here after a 2nd barrell? NL 25: Should I bet the river here after a 2nd barrell?

Hey,

dont have much hands on villain, he is running 38/38/1 after 8 hands.
I wanted to show strength at the first orbits at the table and 3betted him. Flopped TPTK and he checkcalled 2 streets. Should I bet the river here or should I pot control with my hand or should I take his 3rd check as absolute weakness?

Pretty close either way. I wouldn't mind checking to see what he is calling 3b OOP and c/c two streets with. At the same time, you'll feel sick when he flips over KJ/QJ and you know you could have gotten another bet out of him.

In a 3b pot I am not convinced he is going to call you with much worse, even bvb, so I probably just check it back and take a note.

I like the idea to check it back and make a note on what hand he has here. If its KJ im triple barreling every time against her in this spot.

Thanks for the replies guys. My main concern in these spots is that we lose or gain the biggest value from our hands on the river. And it's a pity to see that we had the best hand and didnt extract the biggest value from it
Most of you recommended that we should take a note, get to know his lines before that we bet the river. So it should be our standard to be on the safe side, right? Like the idea. Thanks for making it clear

I'd be amazed if he has QQ+ here, shove river for teh value. I would much rather take his last $14 then gain a potentially worthless note on what he called us with this one time.

I dont think thats a worthless note, I actually think its really valuable. I think shoving the river is always kinda thin without that exact information.

Yeah, when he has a set we still dont know ****, but then we saved ourselves a bet I guess...

His stats and stack indicate he's prob not a huge fish.

Villain almost never has a boat/quads here both combinatorically speaking and he-checked-the-river speaking. Overpairs are also unlikely. So yeah not a huge amount of hands that can call a bet but as played I can't believe we don't have the best hand here a hefty majority of the time. Give him a chance to be an idiot with KJ.

And again, I'll take the chance at 56bbs over a note any day. The profit you could make from knowing what one hand he has this one time is gonna be a lot smaller than that.

Its also true that if we bet and he calls we still have our note... lol

Villain is passive postflop and river is a blank... nothing has changed, I vote shove.
