Villian is 20/15/inf over 95 hands. Iam 17/14 and played pretty aggressive but nothing out of line. My image should be that of a pretty good player as I had won a few nice pots recently.

Calling the 3bet is probably the worst line to take? Should I be folding or 4 bet shoving which takes turn decision out of the equation. Stack size being fairly deep make a stronger case for fold or shove?

I would think Villain would have to give your UTG raise (raise to 4XBB next time) at least some credit if he likes to 3bet light in position so you can put him somewhere around TT+ AQs+. Considering the deep stacks here I think just calling pre flop is fine. On the flop I just c/f.

This is a 4bet or fold for me. Calling is definitely the worst option deeper, as with so much more to go in postflop, it is very hard to get it in good vs a player with decent stats.

I 4bet or fold AK almost every situation anyway.

I'd usually fold flop. Its an OK one to check-raise bluff though if you think you think he's 3betting you light. You fold 88-JJ here a lot.

But on the other hand if you think hes 3betting light, you shoud 4bet.

Have you any 3betting history with villain?

1st time he has 3bet me but seen him do it 2x against other players so he does seem to like to do it, but my sample is very small so?

Since it was the first time against me I was giving him some credit for a hand and my image should have been pretty TAG as I had built my stack while he was at the table. Thses factors lead me to call but I agree with you it was probably fold or push. Just moved up to nl25 and have started off running poor(probably shouldn't be a consideration) so still trying to play a little on the tight side untill I find my groove

Appreciate any advice though!

I think I would rather 4-bet OOP. I might c/R this flop though since its not very connected and I think it will be hard for him to call in this spot without a Q or better. I think 4-bet shoving here is pretty bad this deep since you are not getting called by anything that you want calling.

now folds...preflop is fine.

You can c/r the flop also if you want.

Calling the 3-bet is okay, but keep in mind you will be OOP for the rest of the hand, and you're deep so you don't want to commit your whole stack with TPTK. Playing a medium-sized pot is pretty difficult OOP should you hit, which is why I prefer a 4bet here.

As played, fold the flop.
