So, I hit trips on the flop and am unsure what to do.

I decide to check and see what gives.

When it is bet, I think if the bettor is value betting an under pair such as KK-77 (though KK-QQ, unlikely I know) then he shuts down on the turn. If he is bluffing then he shuts down on the turn. If he has 66 then all is lost. If he has AQ, AJ or even worse Ace then he may pay me off.

I decide to raise.

Good thinking or not?

he could make that bet with his entire range when checked to, i think you are loosing value checking - multiway just bet for value? no reads/stats on villains

if atleast 1 aggro donk is in there i check that flop & i think its right.. nothing ott is a worry & a ace isn't going anywhere & check raise is blah cause you want them to continue as its one of those hands your c/raising cause theres no value in calling to slow play or whatever.... so im just betting & hoping someone has a ace or makes a dumb call if its all passive players/tags/regs/nits & checking if its a bunch of donks in the hand who cant hand read & bluff too much pretty much'

Your always going to bet A high flops so just bet. You'll get one, two maybe even three streets of value from PP's more so if you just bet then c/r.
