I didnt have any reads on this player perhaps raising oop is a bad play.
The flop missed me so badly I didnt see what kind of hand I could represent by betting on the flop that wouldn't be called. IMO, his hand range hits this board pertty decently. I felt that a Ten was definitely in his range as well as suited cards so I just gave up on the pot. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. . .

This logic is so off...

AA? Even if it doesn't hit your range dead on how do you know villain is thinking about what you are representing? If he starts playing back at you, adjust. Don't assume everyone's a genius. Most people call just to hit a pair on the flop and fold if they don't.

There's 2 T on the board, so the chance of him having one if really low. You can't be scared of people flopping trips. Most flops are going to have suited cards...

Maybe if the flop was TT9 with suited cards I'd consider it hitting his range but TT4 is a complete blank. Also, I'd bet TT9 because I have a gutshot with 2 overcards.

You're OOP, so you want to take it down. By checking you're going to be second guessing yourself into folding the best hand a ton of the time when the villain thinks your check is a green light to stealing the pot. And you're giving a random hand 6 outs to catch up by not cbetting.

I see what you're saying. He could have missed just as badly as I did. Gotta stay aggressive and bet this flop.

Thank you. . . .

Dunno if you are bothered or if you will catch the edit in time but you left your sn unchanged on the pre flop action.

Hi, welcome to the forum. If you haven't, please read the FAQ announcement at the top of the forum page. In it, you'll find lots of information, including on cbetting.

First, please convert your hand. It is hard to read and you'll get fewer responses. Next, do you have any reads on the villain? How do you play? If the villain is paying attention, what is his perception of your range to raise in the BB?

Without these, it is hard to give you any kind of advice that is useful.

Now, before you say you don't have any reads, that's only because you don't know what to look for. Here's what I see:

1. Villain is not fully stacked.
2. Villain limped early, then called a raise.
3. This is 25nl.

All of these suggest this isn't a good player. Certainly, he isn't a regular.

I'd just check pf. One reason is that you're not dominated (AK/AQ is going to raise, not call). If you hit your hand, it is likely to be best. If they are terri-bad, they could call you down with KJ. The other villain has a big stack and your raise is going to allow him to set mine you anyway, so you won't fold him.

As played, I'd cbet here. He isn't good, so he could easily release his pps.

On the turn, folding is fine. He doesn't have enough behind to believe that he'd fold to a raise.
