So I decided to play some HU 25NL on Carbon and I ended up taking a net gain of 2 BI's from the villian (after lots of swings in about 350 hands) and I only got $33!? and the next game about 150-200 hands I take a net of 1 BI and I profit $3?!

I was shocked and now see that rake is the real deal. Never really noticed it in 6max. I just wanted to know, is this typical or did the money get robbed or something? How do you make a profit? just win a stack quickly then quit? (yes I am to online poker)

Do anything you can to support poker legalization in the USA! The high rake is derived directly from the fact that cost of business is high and competition is low.

Low stakes HU rake is really ridiculous in terms of BB/100. HUSNG are a lot better at lower limits than cash. If you need help with shortstack endgame stuff just read some of the stickies in the HUSNG forum.

play a higher stake, the rake is capped, so if you play higher it won't be as big a portion of your winnings..
