kinda random, but would anyone maybe be interested in living on a sailboat with me in the US Virgin Islands for like 6 months or so (starting in January for me--although you could probably come later).

I made a post with some more details here: http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/sh...postcount=1819

This summer I stayed in Vegas for a while with LucidDream, creative, Hugo_Busto, DanielDayLewis, and Ap0calypse, so (at least I think?) they should be able to confirm that I'm fairly normal and wouldn't make a terrible roommate (although you'll have to ask them I guess).

Rent is only $500per month each, and there is supposed to be reliable wireless internet or you can buy an air card thing. The sailboat has to remain docked at all times so we can't sail around. Let me know if you're interested.

The thread where I found out about this is here: http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/10...slands-352232/

you can get the cheaper model shures fo sho and still not have to spend that much and get a great set of headphones, plus all that **** is overpriced anyway just get it on ebay, and quality wise the se530pth & klipsch's are the best therefore higher priced

I dunno why I keep on playing that $1040 ongame grand tournament every month, I guess I got that "one time donkamentscore" dream, but it just aint plausible. I don't even think whatever ev I've got in it is worth the "negative happiness ev" or w/e it gives me. Tournaments are just so dumb and a sick sick grind imo.

On a sidenote, what are you guys educated guesses that cg-players that beat (have beaten) $2/4 for about 5ptbb on a large sample and have a possitive expectation in most $5/10 games can expect in average return from those larger donkaments? We who don't really play tournaments more then once a month? What about the tournamentpros?

i just have this idea that 100bb 6max cash game players shouldn't bother with tournaments because even though tournament players suck and they're suppose to be easy, there are too many ways to **** it up and you probably will never learn enough to make it worth your time because you will blow too many spots that you've never encountered when things start to really matter and so all of this just makes it a huge waste of time and money, and it makes me hate poker haha

Yea i think sponger is right. I used to think playing just normal solid poker would make you a big winner in tourneys and i'd just auto crush. Then after hanging out with some friends who either play tourneys or dabble in tourneys I realized that I sucked at them. I think it is worth putting a little time into improving at tourneys if you're a cash game player since their is some money in them and getting random big scores is kind of nice.

tourneys is basically a bunch of 10-40bb poker ninehanded (u get lucky if ur playing a 6m tournament)

so the only real adjustments are ranges, and the value of tournament life and stealing blinds (knowing whos BB to raise etc)

not altogether hard to learn, but even the best MTT'ers will face variance that will make all cash players cry, because you're like "wtf i didnt want to spend 6 hours to only make 5x my invesment this is stupid dsajfhajkdef"

and i can vouch for randal, he is a good donkamenter.

i'd assume sound quality and comfort for the most part. i have $100 bose earbuds i use when i got to the gym or w/e and the quality is noticeably worse for sure, as is the comfort but you can't really compare the two. also the sony ones are noise canceling. i mean, you can almost for sure find better deals and spend less money for a product that might be just as good but the difference in dollars saved would probably not be more than $100.

Nah I'm on the live megagrind. LAPT Nuevo Vallarta and EPT Prague from like December 4-14 so I'd miss the $1k @ TS. Which, if you can't make the $1k there is even less reason to go. Oh, and I'd probably take you up on that. Haha.
