I am pretty sure that I misplayed this hand and I welcome general theory comments about my play as well as specific comments on all streets.

Here are my thoughts-

No read on villain whatsoever.

Preflop: I raise preflop to isolate the limper to my right. This is something I have started doing with a lot of hands. Is this an okay situation/hand to isolate?

Flop: This flop is one of the worst I could ask for. In spite of this, I cbet relatively small in position thinking that villain folds a lot of the time without a thought. However, I think this flop might hit villain's range too much to even cbet profitably. After the end of this hand, I would guess that villain is weak/passive-ish and I think he is check/calling with anything that hits in any way from flush draws to two pair but this could be way off. AFAIK though, the cbet here is one of the points of isolating preflop.

Turn: After villain calls flop, I put him on weak pairs, flush draws, and straight draws. He checks to me and I simply continue the bluff with a second barrel hoping to get a fold.

River: Goes check check and I win with an underpair. Should I ever put in the third barrel here? Is it better to just take the showdown? I may not fold out any pair with a third barrel and his range may not have changed at all since calling the flop bet. He suprises me with a weirdly played AJo one club. He is clearly not competent playing this hand like this out of position.

I would like thoughts on this bluff. Is it ever a better idea to play this hand for showdown after the flop cbet against such a weak opponent? Was my isolate okay? I think I am spewing on the turn without reads but I don't know.

I hope people will delve into a small bit of theory (as this will be helpful to me) as well as recommend lines.

Thanks.

Well for your first uNL post you put this up in the wrong forum. Onto the hand...I just c/f this flop. Super coordinated board multiway does not mix well with c-betting air/underpairs.

Yah crap. I am trying to fix this right now but no mods are online. This hand is Headsup fwiw.

Meh I would respond the same anyway. This is the type of board to really stay away from when c-betting with air essentially.

PF- fine. you can also limp if he's a gigantic calling station (whatever your read has atm).

Flop- Pretty coordinated board. I don't really expect villan to be very good based on his PF action (I would say that he's a LP player and probably going to call with any piece). I think alot of his range is like JT or whatever. c-betting this flop is okay but I would also heavily consider checking and giving up (barring a 4 on the turn).

Turn- After he calls the flop I think I'm done. I think he's calling with like...95% of his range on the turn after he called the flop. The 6 didnt really change a whole lot. This is neither the board nor the opponent to double barrel against. I would rather double against a TAG on a drier board, I think its a bit more profitable. This guy will call with Tx here IMO.

River- yeah, check and give up.

So, summary- PF-whatever, flop- okay, but checking is also okay, turn-bad, just give up, river-fine.
