I also played husng last night for the hell of it. Glad I didn't.

I managed to play 2/4 hu last night against the infamous alldie83, and wow...he is horrible and couldn't have run any hotter.

Also, I'm tilted because this week's leaderboard results didn't come in in time for the Battle of the Planets. I was qualified. a;lskdjfal;skj;glakhds;lkj

Oops, I mean't smaller than 2.5.

this idea is plagiarised straight from the fullring forum. they have an 'index' where you can view posts by different levels. i thought it may be useful if we had something like that here, since im sure most people are only concerned with a small subset of the threads.

here is one I made for 400NL+. I've got it saved as a bookmark for when I want a 'filtered' view of the HU forum.

http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/search.php?do=process&query=2000NL|NL2000|2KNL|500 0NL|NL5000|5KNL|1000NL|NL1000|1000|1KNL|600NL|NL60 0|600|400NL|NL400|400&forumchoice[]=58&titleonly=1

this will only search the HU form (forumchoice[]=58) and only search the title of threads (titleonly=1) and not text within threads. These are the sort of thread titles it will pick up:

(NL400) AA flopped quads
NL 400 AA flopped quads
1000NL AA flopped quads
2knl AA flopped quads
EURO 600nl flopped quads

its not case sensitive, but one big downside is that it only recognizes 'whole' words. so it wouldnt pick up things like:
(HUNL400) AA flopped quads
EURO600nl flopped quads

also, unfortunately a '/' is stripped out of the search and replaced with a space ' ' for some reason, so anything in the SB/BB format will not be picked up like:
5/10 AA flopped quads

feel free to improve on it if you can! it should be fairly obvious how to change the url for the limits you want to view.

the same could be said for 6m/hu cash at 200nl and below and all mtts but yes most opponents in hu sngs are a special breed of ******s and many of the winning players i've played have serious preflop leaks (not that i play at high stakes; $200 is as high as go). i like hu sngs tho. they're like a bite snack. no heavy thinking needed; games are quick; decisions simpler; opponents are freaking crazy. nice break from cash sometimes.

I play poker to make money. I make money at husng. Beyond that I don't care, but as skates points out, a huge number of winners at other forms of poker come and donate to husng regs so anytime you want to stop by, its skilled_sox on pokerstars.

Theres no reason to talk about this anymore. You don't want to take my advice of NOT WHINING OVER EVERYTHING, so I'm done with you. The rest of this forum is generally pretty cool, so i will still be around helping other people out.

So sit around in your $300-$500 SNGs and when i decide to get bored again in a couple months from now, i'll come around and search you out and dodge your 3-4 outers.

Fwiw, i would put you on ignore, but I have a feeling I'm gonna have to quote your next reply and LOL at it.
Ya I have no interest in arguing anymore, but please feel free to stop by and play sometime soon. Winners at other forms of poker who think husngs are lol easy are the bread and butter of levels about the 220s.

I switched over from HU SNGs to HU cash and SNGs are ridiculously simplistic compared to cash, pretty much anyone beating HU cash at Pasterbaters level *could* make the adjustments they need for HU SNGs within a week.

just for the record, i played SNGs for the first 1.5years i played poker. I know how to play with <25 BBs thank you.

I'm sorry i couldn't catch Ax everytime you shoved 10bb like you did. After all this, i kinda feel like taking your roll, but I won't have time since i'll be in vegas winning 2 bracelets.

Haha, i am sorry i hurt your feeling buddy. You seem very angry about this. I couldnt possibly care less about you or your roll, but anytime you want to come play I'll be happy to have the action.

Wow what a weird feeling....I made like 2300 today but feel like I got totally owned.

I played moneytree09 or something and took about 3 bi's off him at 600nl but he totally owned me throughout the match, I just ran well in spots. So if you read this moneytree, Respect!

Whats weird is i've played you a couple times before and never thought much of you, anyway well played

How ironic. 14 game win streak w/ good but not great play, and running like the sun. Then streak ends in a game where at high blinds I was dealt 77, 88, JJ, KK and AA and an all around terrible player handed out one of the biggest luck boxings I have ever seen. Please though, about 6 games of bad luck rolled into 1.
05-26-2008 , 04:14 AM
ummm... vegasssssssss? im liking it so far, kinda wish the people I were with were richer, but still cool to be here regardless, car shopping at 8-9am tomorrow tho , gl online all, i'll prolly be at the venetian donating to the 11+xrs pre I played with today

ok, i have just officially got my first ipoker sharkfin @ $105 HU turbo (13% roi, whee). As i now have the roll to move up, can anyone plz tell me what the skill difference between the $105's and the $210's is? A major jump, or same ppl - more money for me?
05-26-2008 , 08:33 AM
in my experience the 200s are MUCH harder, biggest jump i made. the regs become ALOT tougher, and fish are rarer. i found it hard to get games vs non regs.

this is not on ipoker though.

20's, 30's, 50's and 100's are roughly the same donks. just a bit less passive the higher you get. they still generally stack off with anything top pair related tho
