Everyone is about 2k effective. Villain is a very good MTTer, he is probably raising 100% on the button and is capable of floating complete air in this spot. Ive seen him run all kinds of bluffs but IMO he picks very good spots but maybe a tad too hyper aggressive and fancy particularly against me. He called my triple barrel with top pair earlier way too lightly and lost to my top two but thats the only hand we've played tonight. And ignore preflop just trust it wasnt a good spot to 3bet.

4 handed.
2k effective stacks.
Blinds 2.5/5

UTG folds, Villain raises to 25 OTB, SB calls, I call 87

Flop comes K87
SB checks, I lead 70, OTB calls, SB folds

Turn comes 5
I lead 165, OTB makes it 330, I call

River comes A
I check, OTB bets 700 with little hesitation.

I laughed and said if you want me to fold show me a 6 and he shows me the 6

rofl wow that's really sick... mind games FTW, I wanna hear what people say on this ;p

Pasterb, well played vs saintxxxxxx, dont remember his whole name, saw the match

Wow so GTA 4 is preventing me from playing well...at all. And I can't study for finals either.

So the FTOPS HU event is on Mother's Day.

Anybody playing in this? I know I can't.

Buyin is $500 and it's 250k GTD I believe.

Where do you see that, just looked over the schedule and didn't see it. Although it's entirely possible that I missed it, is it one of the mystery tourneys?

47628158 Tourny ID,

Didnt even realize it was on mothers day. I will still play just got to schedule around it.

edit: and pumped about it, it has to be sooooooo soft.

im bored and gonna try to satt into it now, pwned the WCOOP HU so maybe I can run well twice... ? also Aaron bartley is in the $140 4-man I just regged for, reg-named pro... wonder if he is any good.. ;p
05-05-2008 , 04:41 AM
zomg I feel like im watching a $2 HU between two unknowns, they are sooooooooo bad, they are both still 3x'ing (every hand that they raise) at 40/80 and nobody is reshove yet, it's embarassing how bad they play, if I lose this final (I pwned my first kid) im going to probably hang up the career

edit: oh yea, aaron bartley also called 3x at 30/60 like 1.1k eff stacks with 58o earlier... solid...

Villain is like 52/35, fishy aggro player. He uses the pot button for most of his bets, and he seems to be playing really fast, not really thinking about his actions too much. We're playing two tables. He has been very willing to get it in light when we weren't deep, including a hand where i 5bet shove for $100 on top of his $30 raise with QTs and he snapcalled with ATs. He has been checkraising a lot of flops as well as floating my checkraises, and he has been folding to a 2barrel/re-raise a reasonable amount so i try one here.

How will he adjust when we're deep, iyo? Am I good here a lot vs. this weird overbet? What if we have 34? And what do you guys think of my flop 3bet?

12 wins in a row. All skill of course.

I sucked out so epicly on one guy that if this wasn't microstakes I'm sure he would be on suicide watch.

Beat: $10s and some $20s

had the biggest rollercoaster ever this weekend.

Friday +13K - life is awesome, IMO!
Saturday Morning - +3.5K. Wow, gonna buy something nice!

Saturday night - Sunday morning -18K, wtf KK vs. AA more please

Sunday - lose a huge flip in the UB200K and finish 7th for 7K.

I think I'm gonna take a break.

Someone needs to teach me to stick around and play out long matches. Whenever I get a few buyins deep vs a decent reg I just wind up quitting. Everybody else seems to play these epic four table matches where you get 5 buyins deep each on multiple tables. Not sure i've ever done that. Possibly once but even then it wasn't on the scale of some matches i've watched recently.

Snap. Same with 34. Don't 3bet flop, he's crazy and you have shown that you are too with that QT hand.

nice, shipped 2/5 of those 4-man satts, and made the FT one other time and got sucked out in the first round bad once, so not too shabby, ship a profit + entry in the tourney , and like +275 on PS not a bad day after the week I had last week, good for confidence and I can study for my final in peace ;p

how you holding up? was it out of the blue, or are you secretly relieved. enjoy the freedom, although breaking up always sucks, even if you know the relationship needed to end.

Take the 9.8k to the strip club
05-05-2008 , 12:48 PM
wasn't really out of the blue, had a very strong feeling it would happen not 3 hours before i was told. I knew on some level that we weren't really compatible, but i was doing what i could to cover up the fact.

the problem for me is that i am compatible with very very few people, and that worries me very greatly (this is the thing i struggle with, the breakup is fine). After a short while, there gets to a point where their company just makes me despise them. And i come to despise myself for feeling that way, because on some level it's completely without rational justification: I have no notable achievements, i have no fantastic insight into the world, i have little to truly call my own.

They just exacerbate the loneliness.

But seriously there's no reason to even engage him. You gotta run and he's just saying this as he's tilted from losing.
