Los Angeles Casino, $200 max buy-in 3-5 blinds.

I have $425.00, player to my left has $280, player to my right has $800.00

Limp in (c/o) with 67os. 5 other limpers. Flop comes 458 2 clubs. Checked to me, I bet $15 (first mistake), player to my left raises to $45, rightie calls. At this point (and here is where I think I made the critical mistake) I make it $200.00.

Guy to my right hems & haws and calls, so does leftie. Turn is a red King, checked to me and I put in the rest of my chips making it another $200 into a $600+ pot. Rightie and Leftie Insta call and of course the Club falls on the river.

I am thinking I should have checked/smooth called the flop and shoved on the turn if no club came. Rightie had nothing (typical LA wtf player), Leftie turned a King with a K high flush draw. Bad, bad bad but I fell into that trap of not seeing anything hit for 2 hours and getting too excited about the flopped straight.

I'm sure that that would have been more enjoyable, thanks for the great advice. I'll have to remember that when I want to post here again....

OP, bet more on the flop--about the size of the pot. If you then get raised a shove would be correct.

At the Commerce it is illegal to fold any flush draw on the flop. You played the hand fine.. Big bet on the flop, all in on the turn.
