i was pretty sure, he'd bet-call all Ax flushdraws and the better pairs that he just flatted (thought he can have a wider than usual value range)..
compared to a range of 2 combos that have me dead, i thought this would have a bigger ev than calling and making a river decision /probably having to fold on clubs, 3s, 5s

Shove his ass, 2 is near impossible unless he's an idiot, along with AA and 44 which are the only things that are beating you. I think you're ahead of 99% of his range here

I like the flat as well. Sure we can shove and it is probably okey, but since he doesn't rep much there is a lot of bluff value to be had on the river since he probably barrels that ace with a very high frequency when empty.
