Villain has made several weak miniraises, but has never made it to showdown so I assume that his 2 cards could possibly and most likely are weak preflop and could range from a weak pair to SC's or 2 high cards. Do I lead out and call shove, c/r him AI or slow down because a J is easily in his range.

Full Tilt Poker $0.10/$0.25 No Limit Hold'em - 5 players
2+2 Hand Converter Powered By DeucesCracked

BTN: $28.30
SB: $26.70
Hero (BB): $53.60
UTG: $35.15
CO: $8.75

Pre Flop: Hero is BB with K K
UTG raises to $0.50, CO calls $0.50, BTN calls $0.50, 1 fold, Hero raises to $3, UTG calls $2.50, 2 folds

Flop: ($7.10) J 7 J (2 players)
Hero ??

Edit: Didn't mean to put the whole HH in there

Hero checks, UTG bets $4.70, Hero raises to $50.60 all in, UTG calls $27.45 all in
Vllian has a jack or 77 = he calls you lose more than 2x the pot as well as the pot itself.
Villian doesn't have a jack or 77 = he folds, you win the pot.

How about a little rational bet sizing? A much smaller raise would get the job done without risking so much.

a crai on this board is a pretty surefire way to chase out pretty much everything you beat and hand him your stack when hes ahead. I dont like it at all. I would just cbet it and see what happens. Or maybe check call if you think hes a tard who will bet his entire range, the board is dry enough.

Would you do the same if you had a J, or 77?
I suppose you may get called by QQ,TT,99 sometimes but I dont think the line is the best.
I would lead out and take it from there...

As above poster said the check-call line is good as well. If you decide to go with the hand at least it gives the villain a chance to bluff off some chips.

A lot of the time you're up against an ace-king or a lower pair here. My inclination is to bet the flop, and if I'm raised a reasonable amount, call and then, depending on my table image and what I know about my opponent, either bet the turn and fold if raised, or check/fold the turn.

bet a little less than a pot sized bet on flop

Make it 5.25 on the flop and take it from there. Bet slightly more when OOP rather than IP. CRing sucks here as you fold out everything you beat.
I dont mind betting then CRing the turn as the pot will be a better size for you to do this.
