I get cold called by a passive player, make a small cbet since its a dry flop apart from FD and we are HU and then he suddenly wakes up RRizes and starts PSBing me...
I'm interested if my line here was good, should I have c/r turn (in retrospect that would be better IMO) or 3bet flop (probably wouldn't keep in dominated hands in like that tough so is it -EV)?
River was scary since in my head this is most likely a strong J (AJ, KJ, OJ) passive pfr QQ JJ or a semibluff with FD which could have hit now on the river, so I decide to block bet/ value bet Jx, river bet should have been bigger I think... Do we fold if we get RRed (are those allways JJ, or flush maybe QQ?)?
I notice I have problems playing OOP, and I just had some amazing downswings so I try to play more safe, so is this acceptable or should I have been more aggressive and go for his stack on the turn?

c/c river. Dont really see a lot of value in betting such a gross river.

IMO flop bet should have been bigger, board has straight draws for lots of hands he could be playing on the button. Half pot makes for such an easy donk semi-bluff with flush/straight draws. Half pot also makes it harder for you to stack a on the turn or river.

ANYWAYS, as played on the flop I think you should 3 bet this donk min-raise, to see if you're up against a lone jack or something you should be afraid of.

I think if you pushed this guy earlier in the hand it would have played easier.

As for the river... any bet here is really donkish of you, the flush draw and several straight draws just got there (and a lot of 2 pairs just got there too if he was playing close mid range cards: J/9 or 8/9 or something). Check calling or check folding the river here would be ok depending on what you read from his bet size/timing.

after you call the flop i dont see how you can expect to bet that river for value.
Stick with your play of check calling or just re-raise the flop and ship it.
