THREE QUESTIONS:

1. What do you usually do here against players like this?

2. If the pot was HU - would that make you more inclined to push?

3. Would you fold if the flop was rainbow against a player like this?

EDIT: Should I raise more preflop also? I almost always click the raise pot button in spots like this and are not considering how the raise is affecting the SPRs.

1. Reraise all in.
2. Doesn't really matter in this spot.
3. No.

Bonus answer: Make your normal preflop raise unless you have a read on a player that makes you want to change it.

I think he has a draw or a set most of the time and is bluffing rarely. Only way to find out is to get all in, which I think I would do here.

yes, raise to 2.5 or 3 PF and it will make the ranges a bit easier to play against. I'd probably fold here since I see sets and 2pr too much when I go AI. Maybe go AI vs more donkish player.

1. I shove. You're only behind 88/22 (6 combos) and he could have a fd or even only Qx. Not a fistpump shove though.
2. Yes, definately. It would be a fistpump HU.
3. Without any real reads or history? Yeah, probably.

I'm thinking Villain raises you on the flop with any Q (AQ, KQ?) having assumed that your flop bet was nothing but a c-bet. He doesn't KNOW you've got an overpair.

No way I'm folding.
If you merely call his flop raise, you've put half your stack in.
I shove and let him show me something better.
Sure, he might have a set, but I think you're ahead here far more often than you're behind.

Be interested to know what other people think.

Does not compute.

Good point. I guess I better fold if it is a rainbow flop, huh?

1. Shove.
2. Yes. Shove.
3. I would consider set to be more likely in his range, but I'd still shove because we are only 100BB deep.

How does this change if Villain had a medium or low AF, say .5 to 1.5?
