Hey man, don't have a question or anything, but wanted to say congrats on all the success you've had and will have. You always seemed like a nice guy.

I remember you being one of the better regs from when I played. That being said, it has been a really long time since we've played and I hardly remember much of our battles, and my perception of so many things has changed A LOT since. It USUALLY takes a decent amount to tilt me, unless im getting raped by a fish or am on a ridiculous stretch of bad luck, etc. I'm good at other kinds of poker and my exp with hu cash has probably helped; although I actually started with sngs, tournies, and ring games (see sharkscope for jungleman12).

I don't have too many interests outside poker, music is a big one although my taste in music is especially unique :P . Atm I would like to focus on doing random fun things + working out + building social skills. I don't have a gf atm, working on this somewhat.

Actually hu plo doesn't seem to have much variance, 6max swings seem crazy though. That being said I've run super hot at hu plo.

I think you play a bit too tight oop, and a bit straightforward sometimes (both possibly nl in particular).

I go over hem sessions rarely, and discuss with friends somewhat frequently, particularly w/ urnotindanger2.

I've always had more than enough to cover expenses; I haven't had any financial turmoil in a long time.

Heya Jungleman,

Really great to see you do this. I hate to have such a narcissistic question, but these opportunities rarely present themselves.

What would the combination of you and Urnotindanger have to say about my game from our 10/20 battles? I know our play was short, since you absolutely crushed me... there was a really weird hand where you folded to my third barrel ( essentially a blank that paired the board, that did not change the status of the board at all... a 6 iirc) and your comment was "strangely, that was one of the few cards I was folding to a barrel." However, I played a bit more with Urnotindanger...

Around what percentage of your action comes from randoms in both nlhe/plo? How does this compare to the action you've gotten in the past when your regular game was 25/50? 5/10?

Rank the 3 sites you play on and why?

When playing someone as good as durrrr or isil, how deep of a stoploss do you set?
Would you ever quit the session as early as 100 hands in because of running very bad, or do you think these types of players open themselves up to be very exploitable when you're perceived to be tilted or running cold?

Thanks again

jungleman,
Thanks for doing this. A few questions:
1) With regard to overbets and herocalls: I have heard that some high stakes players are more likely to call off against overbets when they are stuck, because they think their opponent is more likely to be ****ting on them and abuse the stuck mindset. Is this true? Do you think the opposite true of most midstakes hu regs (I am stuck and I dont want to lose more, hence I tighten my range vs this overshove)?
2) What was your strategy for taking shots at higher stakes? Was it purely confidence, just days when you were up, or convincing regs you had an edge on to just play you for more $?
3) Do you think there is any merit to doing weird **** early in a match vs a midstakes reg to get more action (for ex, limping the button) if you have never played them before?
4) How do you construct flop check/raising ranges when playing really deep against really good players, like 300bb+? If we assume value c/r ranges narrow at deeper stack depths vs good players (is that right?), does there exist a stack depth that we are not happy check/raising at all on the flop, and are probably better off turning up the aggression on the turn and river?

What went wrong in you session vs isildur, when u lost like 12bis? were you off your A game, did you felt like he was outplaying you or he was just getting lucky? Was it hard to play against him when he was overbetting so often?

You said you also play on pokerstars, is your SN there publicly known? If it is already outed (or you don't mind tellin), what is it? I wanna rail :P

If it's not already known to public, I understand you probably want to keep it that way.

Thanks for doing this. Good read

Which 2 series of videos d'you think are the best for someone looking to expand their game to playing regs more?

On your route through midstakes, what was the most common leak, or misapplied concept, you found?

Previously you mentioned an 'aha' moment where you said to think about what hands someone could also be bluffing with. Any chance you could dig out a HH that's a good example and explain reasoning behind it?

i saw your sharkscope, and noticed that u were a highstakes husng reg.
If u had to do it all again, would u make the transition to cash (hu plo, hunl, or live) sooner? If so, at what point and which one would u start with?

I am playing the 33$/55$ husng, building my bankroll (with a pretty decent roi). Would u advice to start expanding my game now or just focus or reaching higher stakes first? If yes, then were would u start (between live poker, hu plo/nl, 6max nl/plo)

When u made the trasition from husng to other kinds of poker which thing u struggle with the most?

WTF r u still doing on internet? Go to some high stakes live poker, much more fun IMO.

Hope you can answer some of these:

1. Do you feel it is possible for you to program a bot to beat say hu nl100, if you had enough resources? (programmers taking your instructions)

2. Are you a lifetime winner, loser or breakeven out of the big blind? Will be really interested to know this one since you play regs close to exclusively and own.

3. Against a standard aggressive opponent who is opening most buttons and cbetting with a good frequency etc, what is a good percentage of hands to play out of position?

4. Since you live in america (I think) aren't you tempted to move out of there so you can play on the euro sites?

got one for you. When do you quit regs? Sometimes i play regs, and they seem to run hot, play too spewwy, but somehow i cannot get in good spots to snap theyr bluffs off, i feel runover, and everytime i snap one off it feels gross to fold, gross to call too, and im usually not right. This doesnt happen too often, but when it does it really feels like i get owned, and i cant know for sure how. (like you flop middlepair 3 times in a row in a 3b pot on a K or Qhi board, and everything bricks off complety, and you kinda want to fold all 3, but it feels sooo weak).

It sounds kinda vague, but i hope you can work with it.

while moving up did you think of the money involved? did you have a lot of passion for the game, and treated it like how maybe others would treat a sport? ex. play it practice think about it, etc.

up to what level hucash would you say gets significantly tougher? and exactly how bad is bumhunting?

What was your worst Downswing?

Did you ever consider quitting?
Mostly variance? mostly tilt? Unknown combination?
Any other thoughts on the Downswing?

edit'd
