Anyone got any recommendations for good non-poker-related books? Not looking for anything specific; fiction/non-fiction, w/e.

Lately been really digging anything by Bill Bryson.

Big fan of Bryson myself, esp. "A Walk in the Woods." I love that whole wilderness/non-fiction journaling type of book. If you've never read "Into Thin Air" or "Out of the Wild" by Krakauer you are missing out. Another must read in that genre is "Touching the Void" by Joe Simpson.

I also enjoyed "The Cactus Eaters" by Dan White which is about the Pacific Crest trail (picked it up after reading "A Walk in the Woods" actually), and my recent interest in the 14er's led me to read "Halfway to Heaven" by Mark Obmascik, which is about a middle aged guy (the author) who decides to climb all of the 14er's.

Tyty I'll check those out. Just finished "A Walk in the Woods" and liked it a lot.

and "A Brief History of Nearly Everything" is A+++
