JJ facing 3bet JJ facing 3bet

I've been thinking about these spots lately .

I only have 44 hands on button - he is 25/11 with a 0 attempt to steal and 7% 3bet %

I'm certainly not folding JJ to a button 3bet - I didn't want to 4bet because I dont want to have to fold to a 5bet and I'm not calling a shove w JJ .

obviously in 44 hands I have no clue what his 3bet range from the button is - I think so far he was 3betting from the blinds.

So should I use the default for his range ? - JJ+/AK

if so, then on the flop, I am way ahead or way behind. His 1/2 pot cbet tells me I'm way ahead - so I'm left with a specific hand - A-K and he has a 25% chance to beat me.

If he's smart he will check behind on the turn and will get his two free cards - but there is a possibility he will double barrel .

Also there is the possibility he has me beat and I'm way behind.

What does a good player do here ?

Full Tilt No-Limit Hold'em, $0.25 BB (6 handed) - Full-Tilt Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com

SB ($25)
BB ($25)
Hero (UTG) ($25)
MP ($25.26)
CO ($68.60)
Button ($33.40)

Preflop: Hero is UTG with J, J
Hero bets $0.85, 2 folds, Button raises to $2.90, 2 folds, Hero calls $2.05

Flop: ($6.15) 7, 2, 6 (2 players)
Hero checks, Button bets $3.50, Hero ????

Fold pre seems right

Vs a typical TAG who can double barrel in 3 bet pots, I call pre. Check/call this type of flop and jam a safe turn.

Since he doesn't seem like a typical TAG and that 3bet stat is largely meaningless, I think it's fine to check/call flop and check/fold turn here.

I'm not entirely confident in that play but JJ's are sick to play and I think that's the best you can do.

I fold pre against most opponents ppl are rarely 3betting light a UTG open. I guess if you call you have to peel the flop and then we are lost on most turns. Prob c/folding a bunch on the turn or maybe c/jamming if you have him soulread.

DickieBets...thought about this spot often:
1. I think his 3-bet range (even on the button) can be adjusted to JJ+/AQ-AK.
2. 4-betting not an option
3. I used to fold here all the time as a full ring player moved to 6max. But I'm convinced you can't fold here PRE (unless he double barrels often -> since he disguises his AK/AQ with QQ/KK/AA hands well). If you flat the 3-bet preflop...you have no choice but to call that flop since you have two plays here (1. hope to hit a set or 2. float the flop on a low dry board and if he checks behind you can value on the river) I think if you don't call that kind of flop with JJ...you don't call any flop except for ones that contain a J. Which means you only play to hit a set...making the call preflop a bad one. If this is how you've decided to play post-flop...I would fold PRE. But because the likelihood of him playing AK or even AQ are high, dry low boards are floatable IMO.
4. So if he likes to double barrel often, I fold PRE. If he doesn't I call and float that flop. Then his double barrel or turn check means more to me. If he then double barrels I'm out. If he checks...I think about valuing the river (unless unsafe river card hits such as an A or a K).
