what would be the equation for finding the minimum uniform % of psb that you can bet flop/turn/river and end up all in? i can estimate fairly close, but it would be handy to know.

1psb = 1 unit

flop: pot = 1unit, bet = 1unit, amount bet so far = 1unit

turn: pot = 3units, bet = 3units, amount bet so far = 3units

river: pot = 9units, bet = 9units, amount bet so far = 12units

so i guess if effective stacks are 12x the size of the flop pot? or just more easily 10x pot since usually even when we bet big we don't full pot it?

well, you can always trial and error any particular bet size, but there should be an equation that will tell you the correct uniform % for any spr.

If you bet x% of pot, the pot increases 1+2x times. If you bet that size on 3 streets the pot will be (1+2x)^3 at the end. So if SPR is y before betting on the flop, you want y=(1+2x)^3
y^1/3=1+2x
y^1/3 -1=2x
(y^1/3 -1)/2=x

Can't really use this during play but a good estimation is betting around 1/12 of the remaining stack on the flop like in benjamin barker's example, a bit bigger if stacks are shallower.

I messed with this in excel and it doesn't seem to work.

Single raised pot BvB. Pot is 6bb, 97bb effective stack remaining. This formula gives me 76% pot as x.

With this sizing we end up with about 96bb in the final pot.
