100BB deep, Hero is in BB with A Q

BU raises to 3 BB, fold, Hero raises to 9 BB, BU calls 6 BB

Flop: (20 BB) 4 8 5

Hero raises 9.5 BB, BU calls

Turn: (39 BB) K

Hero checks, BU raises 22 BB, Hero raises 82 BB and is all-in

****************

How do people feel about this line? I have loads of value here and can use at least some of my offsuit spade broadways with good blockers as c/raise bluffs, given we would do this a percentage of the time with our nuttish hands. I think

Surely you have too many bluffs there? And do you actually have that much for value on that board? Aren’t you only repping an overpair?

I’m struggling to go broke OOP at 20NL with AQ off. You don’t need that many bluffs there

I have AA, KK, AK, KQs, 67s, some 88

Seems like enough to have a robust c/jamming range. Now, maybe a hand like A7 or A3 spades or hearts are our ideal bluff candidates, but I don't 3bet them very often if at all.

And when villain bets large on the turn they're really saying they have a slowplayed set they didn't raise on the flop, which makes no sense because it's a drawy board. IDK, seems like I can exploitatively bluff hard. We unblock weak heart draws that would take villain's line.

please use the whole hand history

check flop at high frequency, it's very good for BTN, probably use a more creative size when you do bet

turn is spew without a read that villain is float bet/folding very often here, we can barrel sometimes but x/j is an overplay (indeed, x/j doesn't really make sense as a line on this turn card after flop goes b-c)

That's just not necessary.

I can't copy/paste from where I play, so it's handwritten only i'm afraid

Well villain has a nut advantage granted, but we have a higher concentration of overpairs. I think we bet for value here enough to range-bet. You've got me on the sizing because it's shitty software without hotkeys and I play with a gamepad - so if I'm range-betting I just 1/2 pot it. No way round this.

Why does c/jam make no sense? Wouldn't we want to protect our checking range with some value here?

You should be flatting 88, 55, and 44 in the BB vs a BTN open.

And 76s is a mix, so you're value range is heavily weighted towards overpairs.

Better bluffs would be A4ss or A7ss

This is not a good flop to range bet. Having the nut disadvantage and being OOP are both working against you. I think you will find yourself in a ton of situations where you are either massively over bluffing turn or have to x/f turn b/c you cbet your whole range on the flop and have too much air.

flop is fine, not a range bet by any means but broadways with a spade are ok
you shouldn't be afraid to bet overpairs, tp+draw, mp/wp+draw
x/f turn
you have plenty of pair+gs/fd to bluff and if you want more, you got some weaker fds you x and don't really want to call

Alright thanks. Got away with this one but I agree now it's overplay.
