So instead of that, you decided to turn your hand into a bluff, by making a raise that hugely over-represents the strength of your hand, and making your hand even harder to play.
The whole hand is disgusting. First, you decide to make a small bet to induce a bluff by under-repping your hand. After he makes the raise, you decide to go from under-representing your hand to over-rerpesenting your hand. Then on the turn, you decide to bet $1.50 into $30, hoping for what? Your mind changes 3 times on 2 streets.
Pick a plan and stick to it. If your idea is to let him bluff at it, call the flop, check the turn and call him down. If overcards fall, that's just a risk you take by playing a trappy line and inducing the bluff. There are lines you can take that makes your hand easier to play, but not after you willfully get yourself into it
