Hey guys. I don't know if you guys ever experienced this but i'am finding out that while playing i'am basically just clicking buttons.
I read some stuff here and sometimes watch a few vids and things make sense to me. I know that from theory to pratice is a long way but it is a bit extreme for me because when i go play it's like my mind freezes. All of the theory part goes away and i'am just sitting there basically clicking buttons. I feel pretty lost having no idea what to do.
I play nl2 heads up.

Any tips you guys can give me to improve. Maybe i should start with very very basic it maybe that i'am trying too learn too much too soon?

I have the same problem sometimes, and think you might find the following useful.

Replay hands in HEM/PT you can't remember and really think before pressing forwards to move onto the next action. Ask yourself, whats his likely range here, what draws does he have, what value hands etc. After a while you can use a shot clock to help yourself speed up this process.

I also think a big leak at the micros is not folding enough. Its OK to fold to big bets as people do not bluff enough at these limits.

Thanks that's good advice i'll put in practice.

I'll just get in autopilot mode sometimes a hand ends and he showdows his hand and i go "oh nice. how did we get to this point?." So then i have to go back and replay. I know it souds ridiculious but it happens to me
I think i all a lot too, i don't know if it's me afraid of being bluffed 90%+ of the big pots i lose i with these stupid calldowns.

I'm exactly the same, can be a bit of a call station sometimes!

Pro tip its OK to fold most rivers, might be useful to filter out your PT/HEM hands to "won/lost rivers" to show how much money you're potentially pissing away, as most money is won/lost there. This should massively help your win rate. Especially if there are no flush draws etc.

Just to reiterate fold more Also watch as many videos as you can and apply coaches methodology in their head, why am I betting? What worse hands will call me, what kinds of hands can villain have etc. Gluck!

cut down the amount of tables ur playing. You should be able to answer the question "Why?" at every decision u make.

HU is a tough format to learn the basics, i has high variance, you can be exploited very very hard by stronger opponents and you quickly get deep-stacked which changes the game even more.

I'd recommend playing full ring until you get used to the game, 1 table of fast/zoom can keep you busy. Watching someone play could also help you form a way of thinking about hands & develop some intuition (useful while you don't understand the game, don't throw math at me).
