Well the K obviously doesn't change anything. I have no clue what he's calling you down here with... like, 5-77/99. I think you played it fine. It's one of those times where every options seems to suck. Check folding sucks, betting sucks, check calling sucks.

If he raises you I don't think it's a bluff. He's calling because he thinks his hand is good but also doesn't want to risk his whole stack on it. The small bet is fine, he probably put you on AK and $3 is probably the most he'll call w/ a hand like 77 on this river.

I think you can just c/f here, if he has a worse pair (and even some Ts) he's probably going to check behind, anything else would be turning his made hand into a bluff which 25NL players aren't good at.

yeah I could c/f I guess, but he was actually pretty aggro so I didn't wanna give him a chance to stab

figured I could b/f because he's just calling any non T and I felt I was good against a lot of his range so I didn't want to lose any value

probably still thin though

I think the standard safe move is the c/f here for reasons others have stated.
Once in a while though, you may want to pot it here (yes, turning your hand into a bluff) and do the same thing if you have a T, 22, or 44. it merges your bluffing and value betting range to keep your opponents guessing. but maybe that may be lost at the 25NL level

lol @ merging ranges at 25nl. I'd just check river and I might call based on timing tells against an unknown. I expect them to check a lot with a K.

Looks good to me. C/F looses a lot of value here. One of those wierd, uncomfortable situations where B/F is probably best on all streets.

reads on villian?
depends on the villian...
on this river vs a loose-passive I'm value betting all day, probably more than $3, more like $5 or 6. obv fold to a raise

You say that he is pretty aggro, so in this case I think if he had a T he would have raised at some point, and if he is one of those guys who will call you down and try to bluff you out at some point, I think you can give him a chance on this river and c/c this for value

Aren't we only being called by hands that have us beat, as well on the turn as on the river?
