Yes, I am going to say that your "high stakes" experience does pale in comparison with mine. I have seen people pass chips across the table. No one at the table was the least bit concerned.

Why would other players suspect collusion when two people play a hand, an equity deal is made and then chips are passed based on that equity deal?

My whole point was that you are much more likely to see ridiculous rule breaking/side deals at a high stakes table than at a low stakes table. At lower stakes tables, they just don't allow this type of horse****.

1. taking several minutes to act on an easy call. Of course, taking several minutes is way too long for any decision in poker. This is not chess we're talking about.

2. offering an equity deal

3. saying Foxwoods allows equity deals

4. insisting that Foxwoods allows equity deals after the dealer and floor both tell him it is not allowed

5. still insisting on working out an equity deal after having taken the time to call the floor over

6. sending over someone else to follow Dentale to the cashier

I could go on, but this is tiresome.

there isn't a single accurate statement from those 6 points above. Not ONE.

man this sucks for you it really does.........but when it came down to it, you made a deal with an unknow player, a not legally binding deal with an unknow player.

see in the gambling world all we have is our word, it is obv you took a chance on an unknown's word............he has broken his word..........

and now you are going to have to move on and deal with it. In fact, with all the drama that has surrounded this saga......how can you ever think anyone is ever going to make you feel comfortable in that poker room even IF you are able to go back and play.

A stand up guy would pay $2400-2500 to HEK since it is the only reasonable deal. Calculating how much to pay him back based on his bet is pretty lame. If you didn't undertand chop equity, now you do, so you still have time to show you're not a cheater. Pretending that you don't understand to avoid paying what is correct is not typical from a stand up guy.

deals with "unknown players" are done all the time! Dentale did try to push a stack over Todd's way as soon as he got paid, the floor gave him a chance to re-think it.

HEK, I work at Foxwoods and asked a friend who is a security guard tonight how a player who was banned for life would go about attempting to be reinstated. He said the proper procedure is to mail a letter to the Director of Security, pleading your case, why Foxwoods should allow you back in, and what you will do differently to abide by the rules. I forgot the address at work, but I can get it tomorrow if you haven't already sent a letter. He said sometimes they make you wait a year, but I believe that is on a case by case basis.

fwiw, I think it would be a bad idea to consult a lawyer to help with reinstatement.

although that same advice has been brought up a few different times throughout this thread it's good to hear from someone who actually works there reiterate it. i'm sure HEK probably already knew those things by now but i doubt he wants to wait close to a year to be let back in.
