I die a little inside every time I do this.... I die a little inside every time I do this....

Villain is JS2 on FTP, who generally plays TAGgy like 21/17ish, seems kinda weak overall, and who has been especially quiet this session. I, on the other hand, have been playing much more LAG than usual, and running the table over. I didn't have my HUD running, but I was probably somewhere in the 35/28 ballpark. This is the 2nd time he's 3 bet me in the session, which has been at least an hour at this point. I don't really like any of my options here on the turn. I think shoving is bad even with my image, since he strikes me as the type to play for pot control on the turn here with TT or JJ, although I suppose I could be mistaken. So basically I'm asking what people like best here......shove? c/c turn c/f river? c/c turn c/c river? or fold? I chose the latter and it felt dirty, and am just looking for some feedback. Also, please note we're like 180BBs deep.

I think this deep i 4bet to ~175. The hand gets a lot easier then.

4bet fold? no way

cause doesn't seems like OP wants to get it in for 180BB

i don't agree. think felting qq here against js2 given stacks would be pretty bad (but against other regs would be like fistpump yeah boy). And 4bet/folding is pretty bad also imo.

I like how this hand was played.

I don't know js2, but from the stacks and the description i think 4bet/folding here is ok. Granted, that's the worst case scenario, but it doesn't seem that this is the type of player to push 180bb's on AK after a 4bet. Obv if only called, get ready to play for stacks on this flop.

given OP's description of how he was playing, i think js2 shoving AK is def a possibility. so it'll be slightly -ev if he shows up with AK, KK+ to call a shove, but he'll probably show up with more than that if he is adjusting (OP would probably know better than me if he thinks js2 is adjusting) and then we could do other things than calling preflop (like getting it in preflop).

just in this spot though i think there is more leeway and more +ev opportunities postflop to make money than to solely play preflop here this deep.

I dislike a 4bet,
I like your line, but I would probably have c/c turn, c/f river. I dont know which line is better. Why did you go with the fold instead of c/c, c/f?

but I don't hate how the hand was played, perdoom. I don't feel very strongly either way.

I think a fold here is good. I don't like a 4bet pf vs. this villain w/ these stacks.

I'd consider leading the flop or turn as alternative lines - when he raises his range probably has you beat (so you could definitely fold being oop), but you'd likely get some good value out of the hands you have crushed (TT/JJ) or suited connectors that hit a pair and/or weak draw.

Ok cool, just a checkup. I definitely didn't even consider 4 betting preflop because I think that would be kind of dumb given my image. I know JS2 doesn't get out of line really, but I had been really playing pretty crazy and had definitely 4 bet bluffed preflop once (i folded to a shove), and thus I think he shoves AK here a lot. For those of you who have logged a decent amount of playing time with villain, if he has JJ/TT here do you think he is betting the turn/checking river or checking the turn and value betting the river when checked to? I think that's what bothered me most about this spot.

I am assuming that you thought with TT or JJ he is checking turn, betting river; while with QQ+ he is betting turn, betting river.
Assuming the above is true does that make your line better than c/c turn and c/f river?

Well yea that was my thinking, so my my line would be optimal in that case, but I don't really have enough experience playing him to know that for sure, so I was hoping someone else who plays a ton of 2/4 with him or whatever would chime in confirming/denying that read. If he's checking TT/JJ on the turn here every time than c/cing the turn here seems pretty bad, unless people thinks he might be double barreling a whiffed AK.

I think he bets TT/JJ > 50 % on this board this deep and prolly checks river
Also does anyone like leading flop here ?

Ask Lee Childs how that worked out for him.

I think he got 3bet PF with QQ, donked flop, Jerry shoves and L.C. folded. Jerry had JJ, and wasnt bluffing. I was mostly just being a wise-ass, but I dont think leading flop is good here.
