I am bleeding money somwhere but i dont know where I am bleeding money somwhere but i dont know where

Hello guys.I actually had a pretty good session yesterday.I was involved in almost 5 big pots where i won 4 and lost 1.Whenever i am playing a session i usually keep track of the big pots i win and lose to have a rough idea of where i am standing at the session as i dont even have the habit of checking my cashier when i start. But yesterday i was shocked to see that i was up only $62[at 50NL] even after having a pretty good session.I have also configured my HEM for the different currency so currency is not a problem(btw all those pots that i got involved in were on $ tables). What i did was that i sorted the hands in terms of the biggest pots won and added up all the amounts on the first page. Then i sorted according to the biggest pots lost and again added up the amounts on first page and calculated the difference. The difference turned out to be almost $120.So now i am wondering where did i lost the remaining money. Please help.

Out of these in the losing hands there are just a few more hands where i lost $1.5 and there are almost 10 more winning hands where i won $0.75.So where am i losing money??

Thanks.

Well obviously you will lose a bunch of money the hands where you're in the blinds and fold pre. If you have a VPIP of 20 in the blinds, that adds up to .80 * 1.5bb every 6 hands, so in your 540 hand session it's 90*.80*1.5bb = 108bb right there.

If your VPIP in the blinds is lower, the amount is obviously higher.

In HEM you should run the filters "Player Won or Lost BBs is Bigger/Less Than" under More Filters (the rightmost tab). Set if for something like bigger than 80, then look at between 20 and 80, between 1 and 20, and then less than 1. You'll be able to pinpoint the spots where you may not be fighting enough or fighting too hard for pots.

Would be delighted!

Hey thanks for this.I think this might be the reason.I have a VPIP of 25 in SB and 15 in BB.So a total VPIP of 40.In that case i lose 90*0.6*1.5=81bb.Guess i just found a big leak....

I really didnt get this.Isnt that just like sorting hands on bases of pots won/lost and seeing every hand.

What are you positional stats and win loss by position?
08-19-2011 , 12:42 PM
yeah, maybe u should play some sessions in trying to just improve your readline, try to be more aggro, looks for spot to 3 bet more, or call in the blinds and c/r gutters, flush draws,,, and if u open 3 barrel more often, not just fit and fold, etc...
u could practice at nl25 or where u feel comfortable doing this

Your definately not being aggressive enough, what's your flop c-bet look like? Maybe your folding to easily, throw in some 3-bet precook bluffs and the occasional check raise ppl maybe exploiting you if you check fold to much.

Precook = preflop

Math is wrong. You need to take the average of both, or even more precisely:

90*.85*.5bb + 90*.75*1bb ~= 95bb

DUCY?

And it's not necessarily a leak, you should play tight OOP.

Post your positional stats and your graph in the stats and graph thread. You're just looking at results, when you should be asking "htf did I get here?"
