All I know is he plays small games normally and this is like 10x his normal stakes and he's a slight loser at his small games.

Thoughts on these 2 hands?

The first one is not standard flop decision I don't think, but I figure it's not too bad of a loser, and I'd like the information if I can get it cheap.

Cheers

Hand 1: I check and call a small bet (~1/2 pot) on the river.

Hand 2: I usually lead the flop in a limped pot with a gutshot. It's too strong to c/f but too weak to c/c. I don't know whether I like the riverbet or not. I mean, you have absolutely no showdownvalue so betting is genereally fine. I just feel that you will be looked up by so many hands I really don't no if it's profitable. If you frequently take this line with 5x, Qx, 8x I like it a bit more b/c you have to balance those thin (Qx isn't thin but whatever) valuebets.

Hand 1 I dont even call 80 (1/2 pot), a losing player at small stakes wont ever valuebet a worse 8 and they usually dont bluff 1/2 pot river either.

Probably right. I tend to call down too light sometimes.

Not saying its superbad or anything. Vs. lots of guys I give it a call here for 80, but how OP suspects villains game to be I dont think its very profitable.
