HU50, 2 questions? HU50, 2 questions?

Have just started getting into HU after pretty much all of my poker career has been 6max. I'm currently about to take shots at 50NL 6max so I'm not a complete beginner here, just need a few questions answering.

1. What is considered 'correct BRM' for HU, or what can I get away with? I read 30BI-50BI, but this is a little wide, can anyone be a little more specific?

2. How beatable is 50NL? Obviously I'm not a beginner player, I'm just looking for a little information on how bad this level is, as I've heard it's pretty shocking if you table select?

~thanks.

1. it depends how good you are. a 10bb/100 bumhunter might need only 15-20 buyins. a slightly above breakeven player thats willing to play regs might need 40-50 buyins.

2. heads up is the toughest, but most profitable form of poker. 50nl is easy if you're good. it's hard if you're not...

fourty buyins is a good place to start. It will provide you with some security against running bad/ variance. If you are planning on getting into HU, I would suggest starting at nl10/25 for a little while to get a feel for the differences of the game.

Like you OP I'm pretty new to 50nl HU and came from 6max. I don't table select, and over my first 50K hands the worst downswing I've encountered has been just under 10BI. It's definitely very beatable if you can beat 25nl 6max and have a basic understanding of how to adapt to different player types. I would imagine that you can confidently start with just $1K if you table select. By table selection, I mean quitting anyone who buys-in full with auto-reload enabled, and raises and 3bets a decent amount which you can usually tell within 50 hands or so. But it's far more profitable if you play regs with deep pockets and beat them, in which case you'd want to start with at least 40 buyins.

ive been playing on UB for about a year now and have never had any problems/ support is very convenient and friendly. The games are very beatable up to nl200, but its to find games above nl50 for most regs.

the skin at UB is way more tolerable than AP's. AP skin is horrendous, but lol at them being rigged. are we still on that?

Really?

Pretty sure I beat the random tards at 10x higher rate than somebody half-decent, barring random cooler hands.

When i search for rakeback on cake poker, all rakeback sites says that u can get UP TO 33% rakeback on cake poker.. Anyone knows how this actually works? Do i have to play 100K hands a month to reach 33% or??
