When I stepped out and came back 5 minutes later, saw a fish left a message on the table cursing me because he thought I was scared or something, then I searched him and found him playing another reg at a different table, is it considered okay to go there and say something? I wanted to but didn't, since the other reg probably would interpret as me trying to get the fish away from him which obviously is not right if no history.

that's exactly what you would be doing. you missed the action, ul, but you def have no right to go and try and steal someone else's action.

the only time i can see something of that nature being acceptable is if its a regfish, or fish who thinks hes a reg, or a reg who you think is a fish (read: MichBrains) and you have some type of multitabling history w him. in that case, if he left some type of message, i think it would be acceptable to talk to him while he was playing another reg.

Do you think being polite to fish helps to get more sessions from him? Or abusing him will make him angry and he'll want to play to bust you?

Fishy guy lost 2BI to me yesterday and sit at my table today again. We played for 20 min and I had to leave. So I gave him 5 min notice and tryed to be polite - said "sry g2g" etc. He replyed with usuall "die of ..." What do you think will more likely to make him want to play me tomorrow? If I berate him or if I keep being friendly and polite?

has anybody played "BB_defender" on ftp before? I played him at .5/1 and 1/2 the last couple of days and from what I can tell he's a pretty big fish, but his tableratings tells a pretty different story...

I don't care what they do but I want to do +EV things myself. Some guys go crazy trying to win their money back in that last 5 min. Which can't be bad.

the higher you play the more politeness seems to be needed. seems like every nl4 player is a frustrated chatabusing loser, and 80% of the nl2k fish are polite sometimes

i am polite to everyone, always, and i don't think i missed out on any value because of that.

yeah hes got me a few times lately as well. HUNL is getting really annoying, during the week just seems like a bunch of waiting around and getting hit an ran. And if I try to play regs either no one will play or if they do they hit an run, annoying.

Jungleman, really sorry to hear. You are one of the two best players I've ever played HU and that was from our days 4 tabling 1/2. Not sure how many ppl know how quickly you moevd up the stakes but you have a great poker mind and I'm convinced you'll rebound from this. You definitely crushed my soul and my ego in the past
