this is probably the most tilting scenario of them all.

let me preface this by saying im trying to help and not be a dick, but you are a beginner with respect to mental game and it would probably help you a ton to implement a stoploss if you really go nuts after 3 badbeats/coolers.

He is a monster at putting in volume though. What are some of your thoughts on what fair deal would be? considering Profit and RB or bonuses(stars) or w/e.
It was recommended to me to start out 50/50 in a staking program. Be comfortable in your position, and then adjust. There's no harm in adjusting. You could always say "show me X profit in 20 days, and we can adjust 60/40 for you." I know what you want to say in terms of being fair to your buddy and not take advantage. But it's your money at risk. Got to put aside the friendship at the beginning. Make him earn you some money. Letting them keep RB can help with your % negotiation. Up to you - if you think he's gonna be BE for a long time/struggling, might not want to exclude RB.

Cliffs: 50/50, no RB. hope it goes well!

Yes, I will take Packers please and I will not give up any points for even money . Honestly though I'll take Pack at -2 if anyone's interested in a smallish wager.

Anyone want to bet that the Packers arent a -2.5 favorite when the Superbowl starts?

No not really at all. I want the packers at even money. People dont have to take the bet but there are plenty of Packers' haters out there so I'll end up booking action on this bet one way or another so im not worried about it at all. You are a troll though

RB is huge deal for 6max.

50/50 +rb I think. Esp if he's some breakeven dude.

Not angle shooting at all. Steelers are a good team with alot of playoff and superbowl experience. Packers are all beat up with not alot of superbowl experience. Plus Packers are either hated or loved so I know there will be people willing to bet on this game on way or another. I have a few bets already with friends since they are bears fans but I was trying to get some action on here too. The spread wont stay at -2.5 either

prob not gonna have time to run that superbowl squares thing, sorry for those who were interested

also freemoney, if u were actually interested in taking the packers -2.5 i'll take steelers for $100, but if u were just making a point then that offer is open to others as well.

Hey so I need advice.

I played some 10/20 HU vs a fish a few years ago and took him for a few K. He was very friendly and chatty, and for some reason wanted to continue to talk on AIM and so we did. He lived in Manhattan and was telling me about this great home game that he had with Wall Street types, etc etc it sounded amazing. The only problem was that I didn't live in NY and so we wrapped up our conversation and that was it.

Well now I've been living in NY for the last year, and last night for the heck of him I AIMed him to see if the game was still running and if I could still get an invite. He says it's a game that runs 5 times a week, twice 5/5 and 5/10 on Friday. It's populated by alot of casual players but he also gets some big name internet pros that play as well (he didn't say who). His apartment is in a very nice area of Manhattan and apparently it is an entire floor of a building (I might be wrong about that). He had this to say about amenities:

yes, good fast dealers that dont talk in the box, waitress/massage, comped takeout, authentic casino shuffelmaster, WIFI, plasmas... Its not a poker club

just a single table Invite Only private game

He had this to say about the rake:

the rake in the 5/5 is 5 on the flop, then 5% capped at 25.

He talks like a live fish, it doesn't feel like I'm getting angled/played outside of the high rake. If it was some kind of colluding ring I would expect the rake would be lower (?) to not scare of potential players. But at the same time, how many amazing games are out there where you can find a seat so easily. And I'm really not a live player so don't have a good feel for how high rake has to be to make even a soft game unbeatable.

I'm basically a SSNL-MSNL dude that plays across sites and stakes and also bumhunts. I make a pretty solid 10k+ a month so it's not like even a soft game would be any huge difference maker at these stakes. Thoughts?

ya but everyone else just keeps saying, 'dont think like that

you are right but we need to understand why we are naturally born to think that way before we can try to change/control it... and no one seems to talk about that.

Go for it. I highly doubt his marketing ploy to get people to come to a colluded home game is to dump 3k to people online. Maybe if it was like a 10/20 or 25/50 home game I could see it. But its 5/5. You really have nothing to lose except 500-1k. But it could end up being hugely +EV and a ton of fun. Also, you could just causally ask him which internet players play, and go from there. But if it were me I would just go blindly
