Has anyone tried mimicking a fish? If you can convince them you are bad, think about the wild bluffs you can get away with... all those fish don't bluff here type stuff. Alot of their tendencies can be implemented into a well balanced strategy, but seem god awful at the same time to a reg who's making assumptions. Also, even if they realize you have a brain, if they are down to you alot of regs can't quit anyways.

I'm looking for action on FTP 400-600NL if anyone wants to see me mimic a reg fish's strategy. I'm really good at it. Come find me: CantBustThis

lol a good reg will figure it out after 20 minutes. And you have to leak some money to appear a fish.

yeah but this could work crazy well against bad regs. i'm very guilty of misjudging the level of thinking my opponent is on and then giving them too much or not enough credit for hands later on.

I agree with this. Also, I think people really seem to think that everyone is either

(a) a good player
(b) a complete fish who doesn't know ANYTHING about poker

But it's a sliding scale and I've played tons of guys lately who are terrible but still manage to use enough poker terms that you know they've been on 2p2/other forums at least a few times, they know what's going on somewhat, they know what PTR is and throw around words like equity or whatever, while still being horrible. I think the idea that all fish are completely braindead idiots who don't give any thought to game selection, etc, and will just sit at the first table they see is pretty wrong.

FYP, also, i played 2400 hands today and quit everyone at the same time regardless how long i had been playing them coz i actually had **** to do..that being said there is nobody i played today i wouldnt play again so just find me again (seems as though you are verging on stalking as it is) and we can play again k

I can't believe people are so adamant in their belief that an opponent is obligated to play you for any length of time or amount of hands. Sometimes people have **** to do, sometimes they just want to leave while up. Who cares?

I personally don't "hit and run" because I would appreciate it if others didn't, but I don't actually expect anyone to return the favor.

Why am I even writing this? I'm sure the next page will have the same complaints.

Getting hit and run does kinda suck, but so does not making money

Honestly you have two choices:

1. Whine
2. Let it Go

I highly recommend #2 if you want any happiness in your life, and if you don't care about that #2 is still awesome for making the most amount of money.

+1 to the don't whine crowd. It comes down to letting go of the things you can't control so you focus on what you can (your reaction).

Do you want to be miserable?

I sat at a table, play some hands, win half a BI and decide isn't worth my time. He get's tilted and start talking trash at the chat. I sit back and win 10 BI.

New tactic imo. Bluff hit and run!

Anyone have any thoughts on who are the very best current heads up players that offer coaching? You can PM me if you'd prefer.

I don't post here but am a big winner at 5/10 6max. Thanks.

Srs question

Are you looking for good players or good coaches?

EDIT: Obviously you probably want both, but which is more important.

To be more direct I have loads of coaching experience and a reasonable rate, but some folks tend to take issue with my FTP PTR.

I appreciate there is a distinction, but basically the best players. I'm pretty strong at NLHE cash games in general so would want someone ideally who plays hu all the time against a variety of opponents and is considered one of the best hu players currently in the world (might not be the case there is anyone who coaches who fits this bill). I will check out your profile/blog on CR though.

WoT got back into coaching, his vids are easily top 3 on the internet IMO. Seems from PTR he wins very big too.
