Can somebody please explain to me how the betting in PLO and PLHE works?

You can choose your bet sizes as in no limit, but the maximum you can bet or raise at any time is the amount currently in the pot.

Amount in the pot= amount in the pot+amount you put in to call the current raise (BB, raise, etc.)

Lets say you're playing .25/.50 PLO. If two people limp in, that makes a pot of 1.75. Your call makes the pot 2.25. You raise 2.25+your .50 call, bringing it to a total of 2.75.

Then why can I raise over the pot size preflop? And when somebody raises postflop can I raise over pot size aswell?

The total will be 1.75+2.75 = 4.5... you raise by 2.75 to 4.5.
