Hi All,

I've been reviewing some of my hands recently and noticed I'm losing quite a bit on Axs (AJ and lower) from almost any position except the button but especially from MP and the blinds. I will usually call a preflop raise with this hand and evaluate flop. Is this a leak? Here's an example

Any thoughts or help would be appreciated. Let's assume the raise comes from MP as I know the button may be stealing so it changes the dynamic a bit but if it came from MP how do you play this?

In generall, I'm a fan of 3-Betting Ax from the blinds against a late position raise. I definitely don't want to play out of position with a hand like Ax, so I'm trying to end the hand preflop. But if the raise comes from MP as you say, I think it gets more villain-dependent about whether I'm going to 3-Bet, call or fold. In this particular hand, I'm 3-Betting and calling a shove against this player. He only has 35bb, so he's definitely not a serious player. But in general, I think the answer to your "question" is pretty much villain-dependent.

Vs MP raise I fold unless its a minraise or there's a big fish in the pot, or villain overfolds hugely to 3bets

Thanks for the advice... I should've looked for a better hand to show what I was thinking but you both answered the hypothetical question if it came from MP.I'll be more careful with this hand in the future as I was calling too much I think vs 3betting vs folding. I'll start mixing it up
