I don't like doing much calling OOP at this rake structure. I have it as a mix.

Are you calling 88 no heart OTT?

Idk. I would rather just fold if i can't call.

No heart 88 are fold imo

Don't like the 4b at all, and don't like calling the turn.

88 is a low freq 4b CO vs BTN.
Probably supposed to just go with it OTT in theory, but in practice probably sucks I would imagine.
I would guess this combo mixes size OTF in theory, but not sure. I think when sizes are mixed here 88/99 type stuff would go into bigger sizing OTF at least sometimes and having a heart seems good for that too.

Edit: by bigger sizings I don’t mean pot or OB or something crazy like the odd weird spot where you do see some 1.5-2x OB OOP flop shoves. I mean more the 33% or even 50% type size. Wouldn’t be surprised if some 50% is used on this board in 4b pot, but could also be shown to be a donkey shortly after posting this.

Thanks for the responses.

I think preflop is pretty close. Turn we have to call.

NH, did you look into flop/turn strat?
We probably have to check turn a ton I would think in your spot.

Not sure why you'd 4 bet this - I think most 4b ranges are going to be constructed of nuts/bluffs/semi bluffs, and 88 doesn't fit any of these categories. Here you get an amazing flop - one of the best outside of the obvious set, and we're lost. As played I would bet bigger OTF - him calling this small bet keeps his range wider. On the turn you just have to GII but you'll lose a fair amount.

Edit - just saw the results. The guy is obviously a spew box which changes strat dramatically.

I haven't solved it yet. I'm thinking similarly.
