Help to improve HUSNG'ers Help to improve HUSNG'ers

I've been getting into HUSNG's having been playing some HU NL for a little bit now and was looking for articles, videos, books, links, etc. to help my understanding of the SNG HU game. Are there any recommended materials to draw knowledge from besides the 2p2 forum?

Thanks!

that was probably the first resource i found still. are there any other sites, articles, threads, posts, books, forums, videos, etc. that will vastly improve my HUSNG understanding?

u need to learn how to play hunl and then think about adjustments for different stack sizes. any of the major training sites can help u to become good at hunl while husng, com will help you to think about play with shallow stacks and give you alot of the fundamentals.

I liked moshman's heads up book, haven't heard it mentioned that often here though.

- read Moshman's heads up book
- buy the sampler pack vids on husng.com. if you like the cost is applied towards a membership.

whats an LC thread? and where can i find moshman's hu book?

I thought Moshman's headsup book was really basic if you have any experience as a winning HU player. Krantz's DC series, pr1nnyraiding season 1, essentially says the same things, for free.

I recommend husng.com, the information there is gold, and Moshman's book (still reading it, but seems good).

"this guy calls too much, so bet more," applies to both HU cash and HU SNGs. It's also pretty much what I got from Moshman's book, and what you'll find in an episode of krantz's first series. Though I feel like I learned more watching the videos, that may be because I watched them before I read Moshman's book, and IU had already played several hundred games by the time I bought Moshman's book.

I just think it's better to go with the free alternative first, especially since you'll want to watch his videos anyway.

Yes, there's numerous great sites out for strictly reading material (forums, blogs, 2+2 ..obv, pocket fives, etc). Husng.com is great for vids and strategy discussion too, yet I think people are underestimating moshman's hu book from what i've read of the replies so far.

It is pretty abc basic but thats a lot of beating low stakes hu sng. Also if you play on stars, the book is formatted to this structure in most instances. I also found the book helpful for the reason that it forces you to really look and think for a second about a play (determine stack sizes, adjustments based off reads, etc). It at least forced me to read, take notes, and reread things I didn't get 100% the first time through so I think there is some merit in it. I strongly recommend reading it to lay a solid foundation for hu sng play.
