To be perfectly honest, I think you played most of those fine.

These just look like you got really unlucky a whole bunch of times. The only thing I would comment on, is that you seem to slow down a lot on the flush cards. There's actually a very slim chance that a villain has a flush in most of these spots, and I don't think you should be scared of them for the most part.

I'm totally happy getting my stack in with a set in all these spots, yeah it sucks running into set over set, having them hit a 2 outer, but these aren't leaks, it's just unlucky.

If you keep with it, you'll profit in the long run with these lines. These aren't your fault.

VERY true. I just freeze up and have no idea where I'm at when deep down I know I should bet. Guess it's the nit in me coming out. You're def right about that though, that is one of the problems.

01-25-2010 , 05:32 AM
So I'm just running insanely bad? And being too nitty when the flush cards hit?

You guys don't even want to see the other AIPF hands where I lose 600BB pots with AAvKK..it's so sick. I feel like I'm playing alright but I just can't win because hands like the ones above just keep popping. It makes me just want to go back to crushing DoNs
Halp me. Quote
01-25-2010 , 05:42 AM
Look dude, I almost puked when I saw all those hands, you can't be serious that this happens all the time. You play fine except for fearing the flushes a bit too much. Otherwise you play very well. I wouldn't worry about set over set, it happens so rarely so just play your set like its the nuts without obvious straights or flushes
Halp me. Quote
01-25-2010 , 05:44 AM
So I should keep set mining? Because at this point it feels like I only get action from a higher set. It's absurd.

What stats do you run in EP/MP/LP? because if you're running too tight, that might be why you're only running into set over set. You might want to open up your range a little bit so you can be called by worse.

Well I am pretty much a nit and freely admit this, although I do mix in 98s type of hands sometimes for deception

EP - 9.8/8.3
MP - 10.9/9.0
C/o - 13.6/11.1
Button - 16.1/12.5

VPIP/PFR

But maybe half of those hands were played in Rush

Could be true, but most 25NL players aren't that observant. OP is just real unlucky/ posting the 18 hands he lost compared to the 100 he should have won.

Please do not post 15 hands in a single thread again. I didn't spend time looking at all of them, but your leak appears to be that you think that people will stack off with TP all the time. Size your bets where the someone with a weaker hand can call.

14 hands is tl;dr.

alot of these hands are sick coolers, and if you think that you could have possibly gotten away from them you obv don't know pokerz.

some however, were absolutely butchered, like hand 2. 2BB bet into a 7BB pot? bet sizing ffs.

Weak leading into pots like that gets re-raised a lot, which is obviously what I wanted. What does it matter anyway? If I bet 5-7BB he still calls anyway and hits the straight just the same

nice results-oriented thinking

also, some of your hands have lolbad bet-size. 3b'ing to 15bb? leading 2bb into a 7bb pot? re-raising a 4bb bet pre-flop to 28 bb? Not sure how you're getting these god-awful players to call you. And on the surface at least, your betsizing is awful. Every else just = coolers

1) Cooler.

2) Your C-bet is attrocious. You have NO reason to think that the villan is going to spaz to a small bet. This is a board that will get floated a TON, and you have top set. Please bet more. Turn is a cooler

3) Cooler

4) Kind of a cooler, but warning bells should be going off when SB flats a 3 bet.

5) Bet the turn. There are NO flushes that three bet pre-flop and flatted your 3 bet on the flop except a poorly play AKs, and you have redraws against that hand. All overpairs with a diamond will be calling.

6) Cooler

7) Cooler, but what is up with that 3 bet?

8) raise pre-flop. Good on the flop. Bad check raise on the turn (Fancy play syndrome? Yeah, I think so)

9) Cooler

10) what is with the crazy bet sizing? Seriously bad.

11) Cooler

12) You got your money in good. Why is this in here?

13) Bet sizing is attrocious.

14) Cooler

15) You got your money in good. Why is this in here?

most of these hands look like they should be in the brags, beats and variance thread. Unless this is over a 500 hand sample or so, your not going to get to much sympathy from grinders, as we see these kinds of things every day. If this puts you on tilt or gives you monster under the bed syndrome, then you need to look into your mental state when playing the game. Even if it is over that many hands, you'll probably just get a thats to bad. Not trying to be insensative, but if you don't get used to the game kickin you in the balls every now and again, your not going to be playing for long.

By far the biggest leak I see is that not once did you mention anything about the villans in these hands. You should tailor every hand the villans involved.

Also, one hand per post.

grunch

* Hand #2: your flop bet size is too small.
* Hand #10: you flop bet size is too big.
* Hand #12: fold to min-raise 3bet on flop.
* Hand #15: you need a read to make this call, without one, its bad.

Rest are fine.

It was bad not because of the results (it wasn't repopped like it usually is), but because of its ability to put you in a bad spot.
