on the flop i thought he was cbetting w/ air and would fold to a raise so i was going to call and see if he would fire another on the turn and since he bet on the turn i figured i'd raise to get maximum value.

Raise flop to $1.35 or so and look to get it in.

as played, river is a fold

Don't raise turn if you're going to fold river.

while I don't agree with OP's line, this isn't true when he donks full pot on the worst possible river

The whole line looks very suspicious...

What exactly does this guy have in this spot here that crushes you? The river shove suggests something like JT but JT doesn't really connect with the flop all that much... not really at all...people don't generally consider runner runner to be a legitimate draw.

`There are a few hands like T8s or 78s that might be possible... but I think this guy shows up at the river with air a lot of the time and your QQ hold up.

I could be wrong on that though.

You need to be looking to raise the flop and get it in on the turn. He can easily have TPTK or TPGK on the flop, plus there are plenty of draws that wont fold if you raise. What else beats you, 36, 69, and sets, pretty thin range. As played, I raise turn bigger and folding on the river is correct.
