First of all I have read the CoTW for online to live so don't give me a link to it

I plan to take a shot at my local casino although the min stakes are "$1/$2, buy in range of $20-$80."

Now I would buy in full but that is still only 40BB and I would not like playing anyone who buys in for the minimum of 10BB

I am used to playing 100BB deep and playing shortstakes that have 20BB+

The next stakes up are $2/$3 with buy ins of $60-$180 (20BB-60BB)

Worth starting at the $2/$3 games or start at the lowest stakes and deal with the short stacks?

Or any reconmendations or tips for when I do give live play a crack at the lower levels?

Find a new casino.

When you get there, skip the guy at the podium and check out every table and see which stake has tables with deeper stacks and players who appear to be bad (this should be 95% of them). Talk to the 'brush' about getting a table change to the table of your choice. If you are at a new game, everyone will be short stacked and the skill advantage I assume you have will not be as large.

I agree with the other posters. The live games at your casinos are a waste of time and you'll get likely get raped by the rake. Stick to online until you can find a better game.
