the rake and how comfortable you are postflop are significant factors
if I have a read on them that they play very straightforward in 3b pots then I will 3b 25%+ if they are opening a lot

eventually they tire of it and do something really dumb.

thx for answer. Im still thinking.

But rake is rly BIG! at nl10 HU (ipoker) rake is about 26bb/100...

is opening 80-100% btn a bad/good default strategy?
obviously will adjust afterwards if villain adjusts...

80-85% and 95-100% are distinct enough that they probably shouldn't be lumped together, but yes, "opening 80-100%" is a good default strategy. It's standard these days.

By "adjust" I'm assuming you're talking about changing your opening sizes and your 4-bet and call-vs.-3-bet ranges as needed--not about lowering your opening frequency to 50-70% or whatever.

Hey

Recently I have registered on iPoker network and I discovered 1 thing that suprpices me a lot. I have checked the internet traffic and I found out that iPoker network ( tested titan ) is taking very large amount of data, for example when I played about 3 hours it took about 500MB , so If I play regular session its gonna take 1GB+ / per day? Isnt that too much...? So I wonder what are this data and why is it so much.... it seems quite ridicolous if you compare it to some other sites , even if you play some online video games , you never download THAT huge amount of data. Does anyone of you have answer for this?

idk i mean i have no idea really, but its kinda tough to get by with 1 stake and 1 site. and are u only playing fish or whoever? actively searching other tables etc? hard to say, but i dont think youre going to be excited with the action u get with only ipoker 100nl 2 tables thats it.

i would play anyone for at least a couple hundred hands. starting tables rather than joining them to get my fair share of fish. don't think i can tolerate lots of waiting though.

is 5% rake standard for HU tables microlimit (10nl) HU tables?

Edit: Quick search shows PS at 4.5%, so not overly ridiculous Im guessing

Any tips on creating a hud?
Also are there any decent ebooks to learn the basics? I played 50nl for a year or so and I am looking to transfer over to HU. Is posting hands the best way to learn? I don't want to spam the forum too much by posting every hand I have questions about which at this stage is a lot.

search the hu forum for "hud" if i remember i just saw a thread about it.

but:

vpip_bb, vpip_sb, limp,
3b, f3b, 4b, f4b
cb_f/t/r (also in 3b pot cb #s are helpful)
c/r_f/t/r
fold to cb_f/t/r (also in 3b pot)
probe turn/river (if you have pt4, not sure if hm2 has those stats)

posting threads is fine just make sure it follows the guidelines in the rules sticky. and as long as u dont have like 40% of the total threads on the 1st page of the forum its ok. you can post simpler questions that might not need its own thread in here or the hu regs thread, ppl will be happy to answer there.

maybe you could try to revive this old thread for quicky type HHs or spots:

http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/58...thread-941573/

-it would also probably be helpful for you to read thru some of the thread--it recommend starting from the bottom of working back so the info is more relevant. lots of Qs have been posted/answered in here for ppl just starting out in NLHU.

Is Stars really the only site with a cap of 50 cent a pot?

And if so, are there really sites with so many bad players that it makes up for it on 50NL & 100NL?
****General Questions THREAD**** Quote

not sure about how many sites with 50c cap for hu. im not sure about ipoker? the others tho its capped higher im pretty sure. but the players at 50/100nl on stars are awful too. lots of them.

but the best thing to do would be DL the software and look into XYZ's sites games and see if they look good. no1 on a forum is gonna say "omg this site is so amazing for 100nl come play it and take money away from the games im making money in."

Guess your right about not sharing the info about what sites have large amounts of bad players. From what I have read though it seems to be stars and Ipoker.

But my point was that there has to be a rather large diffrence in rake paid from Stars to any of the euro sites, on 50NL.

I have googled for a rake comparison for HU but without finding anything. If someone could link to one it would be appreciated.

well just go to the respective homepages and take a look into their rake structure!

I have been looking, and i can only find stars with 50c cap. But I could be wrong.

As I am supernova it seems to me that stars i my best option as im learning NL
