i'd def shove small PP vs 25% 3bettor. It's ok to turn our hand face up. Don't be afraid to play exploitably as u don't need to balance vs fish. against thinking players I'd mix it up and 4B shove AJ+ to induce a call from a weaker ace putting me on low PP.

4betting is not an option because lower pp plays terribly post, and by 4b shoving u have fold equity. there is no fold equity when u call a 5b

I have been reading on 2+2 for a good while and now I have a question.

I want to start playing HUCG on pokerstars with 40 buyins at 50nl, but am very afraid of the rake. I think I will only be able to play weak opponents, still I am not sure whether I can beat 50nl and then move up to 100nl due to the high rake?

The rake is not that horrendous on stars with the $0.50 cap. It's not ideal, but the games are pretty good, and you should be able to beat it and move up if you're fairly competent. Good luck.

40 buy ins is plenty. at NL50 u need only ~10 buy in in your roll with good game selection. if you are not totally clueless at poker, you would be able to beat NL50 (although maybe at a small rate) before going busto.

New to HU here and here is my noob question.

Whats the best way to deal with these pesky min raisers? I dont like the flow of the game when its min raised from the BU, esp when deeper then 100bbs. I found I 3 bet them a ton with most hands that I want to play. I dont know if that is the right adjustment tho... seems all the bigger pots are then played OOP which also sucks/ gives them the advantage.

u can always sit out and find another game. i personally dont 3bet minraises a whole lot but my vpip is usually north of 60% oop against them.

Call more, rather than 3bet more.

1. Best training sites and their cost
2. Best way to study HU cash? Playing then reviewing? Finding sweat buddies?
3. How do you find the fish without sharkscope? Best websites?
4. Advised bankroll management
5. What's a good HUD? Is the awesome HUD v2 (HUSNG hud) going to be good? Is there anything I'll need to add for HU cash that isn't good in HUSNG?

Is 50nl rake easily beatable?

1.) no idea, but try searching this forum theres been a ton of discussion on it.

2.) yes those are both good

3.) tableratings.com

4.) 20-40 depending on you fish vs reg ratio.

5.) vpip sb, bb, 3b, flop cbet, turn cbet, ag factor, fold to 3b, c/r flop are some good ones.

What are some std winrates for 50nl/100nl/200nl? Just so I can do some calculations on whether HUSNG or cash is more profitable, expected earnings etc etc. In the 10/20 blind level of HUSNG's, I'm 24bb/100, kinda small sample though (10k hands), and I'm a tad over ev. I think 10bb/100 would be doable?

Any of you play on Entraction network? How would the action be at 20NL? Regs/fishy?

Whenever you want. 20-30BI is fine to shot-take NL100 from NL50.

Am I a calling station?

I’ve been looking through my stats and here are some things which look like I may be a calling station…

My opponents fold 45.1% to my C-bets. But I only fold 38.1% against theirs…

Opponents fold 29.8% on turn C-bets. I only fold 23%

Opponents fold 50.9% on the river. I only fold 38.4%

I am making money from the BB and I am pretty happy with my BB play for the most part but obviously I could be much better and I was wondering if I should fold a little more?

Dont worry about your stats ffs... and if you have the itch to, then dont compare them with stats of losing players lol.

I am getting a little discouraged with 2nl hu...I am a good winning player but I just think that it may be more profitable grinding up 6-max on stars and then when I have the bankroll to switch over to HU.

I think Titan Poker hates me, my evbb/100 is 15 below average over 11,000 hands and I also pay about 30bb/100 in rake alone. Running bad and huge rake it just too much, I really believe that I have not been tilting although I keep trying to think over and over where I may be tilting and not realising it. I am still winning but I think it may be better for me to play 6-max.

I was wondering what you people think about this? I really like it here and people have been extremely helpful which is going to suck if I don't frequent here as much...

30bb/100 in rake is RIDICULOUS. I would play something else or save up until u can afford to play higher. Honestly judging by most of what youre posting and what youre thinking about youre at least on the right track and I would be surprised if you couldnt crush fish at 50nl at this point.

also I saw your thread about raising 65% or w/e. yes raise more. make your default like 85-90% or somewhere in there and adjust accordingly. and yeah the vast majority of people will not figure out that youre 3xing your good hands and 2xing your weaker ones. Just pay attn though Im sure youll figure it out if they start to pick up on it. But tbh the vast majority of true fish will never know whats going on.
