yeah im folding this. probably a good lesson in there somewhere, dont squeeze people wihout reads.

Probably an example of why it's good to have a polarized 3-betting range (thanks Thac!) - you avoid ikky spots like this.

Essentially you only 3-bet with premium hands or suited connector/garbage type hands, so you don't get into big pots with a hand that's likely to be dominated by villain's calling range.

I understand, but a3s is that type of hand imo. Considering the board, you can see it is garbage also if you hit. But A3s have other powers also. It can hit the flop with redraws, and big redraws. So i think A2-5s is a good hand for this squeezing stuff.

threebetting with small pairs, suited connectors, one gappers, and your premium hands, make your opponent both second guess your plays when you have big hands, and fear when you might hit a low flop with a 3bet.

there's no way you can call here long run and it be profitable. 3betting with A3 is just like 3betting with AT or A9, its just a bad spot on flops like this unless you have a flush redraw.

Look, i am squeezing. Wich takes us to whole another subject from 3betting one persona. This is just on of those flops, A3s where i am likely far behind, and not worth it to play for stacks on a ace high flop(duh), i understand that. Preflop i am just semibluff sqeeuzing here, and i can hit a lot of flops. With the nuts in it. Even if i hit a ace, i can be good. And after all i have position. Now this guy donkbets here, for the rest of his stack, sure i cant call this. Someone just needed this to say to me so that shhh is printed in my head. And for the record, i keep squeezing A2-5suited it can hit the flop very powerfull even when i get called, i have position and first they have to call even.

Saying it's bad to squeeze with ace small because you might be put in a tough spot doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me. If you make this play with QQ or KK and an ace hits, you're in the same situation. You just have to be able to let it go when you get donked into or raised on the flop. I think the extra folding equity you get pre from reducing combos of ak, aq, and aa will make up for the times you hit an ace and get value towned a little.

But def don't squeeze someone you don't even have stats on.

I don't think that's a fair comparison. KK would be an obligatory raise here, and we just have to accept any marginal/awkward spots that ensue. We don't *have* to raise the A3s, and raising hands that are more likely to put us in awkward spots is a bad idea IMO.

I guess if the conditions are right, squeezing any two is +EV, but it's always nice to have an escape hatch if you're called.

I just have to agree with others saying that this hand is a bad hand to squeeze with. First of all it is very often dominated and second you say that it can hit big, well thats true but that big hit is very rare. And about the hand to me it looks like villain is trying to protect his hand from your possible flush draw so I think your TP **** kicker is far behind his hand so fold.
