Getting it in on the turn

Plenty of Tx in his range as well as a whole load of spewy **** that a fish like this is likely to turn up with

I agree with potting on the flop and turn, but surely that last bit is applying a rule of thumb to an extreme. Villain is an uber-fish. He might be passive pre but with a VPIP of 50+, chances are his postflop play is going to be all over the place. Not only does his range have a whole bunch of Tx combos but guaranteed a fish like this will hold complete 'wtf' hands a huge percentage of the time.

This is very true, this kind of player could turn up with anything.

passive fish is 9of10 passive pre and post. Bet folding can save some money vs them and it is true in any limit NL2 or nl100. If u have read that it is not true use it but if u are with no reads herofolding>herocaling. I agree with "lot of lol hands" but not agree with he will raise them. I dont give a fcuk if he bluffs me 1of10 as other 9 times he will shove omg nuts

I just worked out some equity calculations with Equilab. Assigning villain a range of all possible 10x hands, flushes, full houses and quads my equity is 51.9 on the turn. That seems a little thin to be shoving, but still profitable (high variance as well). I'm really trying to stay on the fat value side of the equity spectrum. Obviously I had no idea what my exact equity was on turn but I did quickly estimate about 55% and decided to play for showdown value at that point.

I would fold OTT; a passive fish isn't bluffing, or value raising any worse hands very often (maybe some TX, but not enough of the time to make shoving profitable).
