Floating the wrong villain? Floating the wrong villain?

Villain plays 33/22 over 65 hands, donkbets 50 (4). I float here often to pick up turn. After he doesn't fold turn i decide to check down river since an extra heart showed up. First, is it ok to float this kind of villain? Second, is 't ok to barrel a non-heart to chase of Kx?

Donkbets are tough to deal with cus it can be all sorts of things.
I think CO open is ok. I probably wouldn't float this flop cus it's wet and V can get sticky if he's not air. I think it's more board dependent than villain dependent. I'm probably folding but I think I fold too much to donkbets because I usually don't know what to do vs it. With that said I think I'm barreling river instead of giving up as played because river card increased our river value bet range from strong Ax to made flushes which would take this line.

Calling a donk without any equity just dont looks like a good idea.
Just fold, be hapy if he donks here and you dont lose money with cbetting.
Raising donks but not with this hand against some opponents.
You just want some Equity and you have like 5% here.

If you take this line (i prefer just to fold flop) then better bluff river. And use a big sizing you have to get him off Ax most of the time. If you float the flop, you just got to bluff a huge % of the time you missed, but another draw just got there.
Also if you float the flop i wouldn't bet the turn. The 4 didn't change anything and he likely is just going to call.

Agreed. I think you have your floating mindset backwards here OP. If we are floating we are planning on taking the pot down with a well timed bluff in case v has weak made hands that cant take heat. So we should be bluffing a better turn card i.e. a heart on a turn and always following up when a good bluff card hits on the river. But dont do it on this flop in the first place. Fish will never fold Ax

If villain donk bets a lot, then just keep folding until you have a hand with equity.

Anyways, either fold flop or raise flop. Folding >> Raising >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Calling.
