smaller bet on turn, don't scary everyone, and call his shove.
i think you can't ever fold set in NL2

you gonna stack him off in 90% other cases,

Yeah this is just a cooler mate. I like your flop bet. You should be betting your sets 99% of the time under normal table conditions. A turn bet of 65c-80c sets you up nicely for a river shove all in. As played, never fold this, the 9h doesnt complete any draws and if he has AA or KK just say nh and move on.

You're getting close to 6:1. I don't think there's a game on the planet where you can fold here. Obviously overbetting the turn is pointless on this board with these stacks, but you'd still be stacking off if you bet less on the turn and he pushed. There are plenty of 2 pair hands he could have even if he's non-******ed.

I'm posting it in the off chance that I missed something in his betting--I can't for the life of me figure out what, mind, but in the beginner forums its stressed to post and read hands, and this one really irked me. I suppose its more that I'm wondering if my aggression is simply spewing chips into his stack.

I'm new to cash games, and its been running not so well since I started 2NL, and need to improve my confidence as a result. Glad the consensus is that this is just a cooler.

The raise preflop of 6x from ugt +1 is really strong, but being in the button I still think its worth calling.
How it played out, Ide be getting that in every time in that spot. On the turn theres only 3 hands that are ahead of you. esspicially at 2nl snap call for me.

Would you be kind enough to explain why 65-80c vs a pot sized bet? Is it to keep the action going?

Easy call

Don't bet so much on turn though but if he rrai after you bet say .6-.7 I would snap call.

I very rarely fold sets (only done it once when villian was obv on a draw and 4 to a straight flush hit and he way overbet shoved - I had a good read that he hit it given previous hands) at 2nl unless the odds are HORRIBLE (villian shoves ai 5$ on .04 pot or something) and/or I have a super good read.

He could have a bunch of other crap here AQ maybe, AK, or a good draw or Ax that hit 2 pair like A9 = call [sucks that the high end of his range hit but I def. think this is +eV in the long run]

Oh and pf is fine ur just set mining = no set c/f; set is a bet, bet shove

Standard cooler. This is always a fist pump shove at 2NL.
