Pot odds.

Yeah, just do the maths

Off the top of my head, it looks like a pot odds call. We've got a boat blocker and once in a while we're ahead of stuff like 68, 89, 9T, QK

I like flat flop. We are never way ahead if his value range here but we are way ahead of bluffs and semi bluffs and sets just have us crushed. As played its probably a call but it sucks because it's a set so often and we have so little equity.

Hello, this is my first post. I'm very new to this game (played 3k hands micros) and have been reading about the maths. Since you said do the maths, I assume it was the pot odds.

I did do the math as following:

Preflop pot = .4 x 5 + .1 (BB) = $2.1
Flop pot = (2.1) + 1 + 3.75 + 3.75 + 10.05 = 20.15

And it costs the hero 6.3 to call, giving us 20.15/ 6.3 = 3.28-1 pot odds, but the flush draw is 4.22-1. Why is the call justified? I assume it is because of TPTK? And how can I figure that out mathematically?

Thanks

Agree with the guys about equilab. But i found a question myself here: should we really raise the flop with 3 opponents left to act? Wouldn't it be the best for us to try to see it cheaply since there's a good chance to get raised here? I think You can even get a shove here from AA, KK (if they just call pre with it which is unlikely), JJ or any set. Then You would have to do the math real quick and what if You didn't do the math quick? You would find Yourself in a difficult spot. Can anyone please comment my thoughts here? Thank You

You want to call flop because you block an awful lot of hands you could otherwise get value from. Jx/Fds. Not because you're worried about getting shoved on. Also no one has AA/KK here.
